Simon was completely and utterly drunk. He was beginning to slur his words as he spoke to David. They had gone out to a bar and had gotten drinks and food. Simon had convinced the babysitter who was watching Eric to put him to bed so he wouldn't have to worry about it.
"Come on, Simon. I should get you home," David spoke. He was buzzed but not drunk. The one drink had turned into two and then three and four and five for Simon. David had only drunk two beers while Simon had drunk five of his favorite Corona beers at the bar. They had taken David's car luckily so Simon wouldn't be driving in his condition. He was swaying in his wheelchair.
"I can't believe you whipped my ass at beer pong," Simon slurred. "You've really never played it?" They had played a couple of rounds of beer pong against each other after a couple of drinks and Simon had gotten progressively more drunk with both rounds they had played. It had been amusing to David to see Simon slightly mad at losing a simple game. It meant Simon might be a poor loser when he lost something. He was looking forward to playing more game with Simon.
"Yes it was," David responded, pushing Simon to the car. He was wheeling Simon out after Simon had almost ran over someone's foot as they tried to get out the door. He lifted Simon out of his wheelchair once he was out of the car and put him in. He put the wheelchair into the boot of his car. He didn't want to break anything on it.

They had gone out last night, getting drinks with each other like Simon had offered. Simon had come home completely drunk. The babysitter had agreed to watching Eric for longer as long as she was provided with dinner and Simon had agreed. He had sent her home for a couple of hours before David had picked him up. The babysitter had put Eric to bed for him.
Simon stirred in bed. He was in someone's arms, an arm thrown over his side and he was against someone. He had taken someone home with him. He remembered David taking him home after David had declared Simon had had enough to drink. Simon opened his eyes blearily. The light coming in from the window hurt his eyes. He was still clothed, thank god but he didn't know if David was. He turned carefully in bed. David was still clothed in what he had been wearing yesterday. David was already stirring.
Simon already had a pounding headache and he barely remembered what happened after he had come home. Something had had to have happened with David to the point that he was in bed with the older man. Simon extracted himself from David's arms and transferred into his wheelchair. David shot awake, sitting up. He looked at Simon worriedly, his brows knitting together.
"We didn't do anything last night, right?" Simon asked, looking for confirmation that he hadn't slept with the English teacher. They had both woken up wearing their clothes from yesterday anyways.
"No but you do have a hickey on your neck. We did snog last night," David admitted. "I didn't realize that you would be into snogging guys. It was good."
Simon's brain was beginning to wake up. "Just good? Not great? Normally that's the feedback I get from my kissing," he joked. It was how he coped. So David now knew that Simon was bisexual, although not in the way that Simon was planning on coming out to him. He needed to come out formally. He still wasn't sure about David though. Although based off of the snatches of memories he had from the evening, he could deduce that David was attracted to him.
David laughed. "I really hope that this won't affect our friendship. We've only met a couple of days ago," he spoke seriously. "I would like to continue being your friend, Simon, despite us snogging last night. We drank too much."
Simon nodded. He wanted to continue being David's friend, although he was beginning to want something more than friends and that would take time and getting to know David more before it would be time to bring up the idea of being more than friends.
"I'm going to shower. If you would like to change your clothes, you might be able to fit into some of my stuff. I've got sweatpants in the bottom drawer of my dresser if you want to wear them," Simon offered. He needed to shower to clear his head from the pounding headache that he had. A shower in the dark sounded very good to him right now. David nodded and Simon went into his bathroom.
Simon showered quickly, splashing the water on his face to help him wake up. He had snogged a man last night, something he hadn't done for a few years. Not since his last potential boyfriend, a few years ago, had he snogged anyone. They had fizzled out so it hadn't really amounted to anything. He also hadn't gone out looking to find a boyfriend or someone to have a one night stand with. Typically any potential one night stands would only sleep with him because of the wheelchair. Simon didn't like their pity. He would rather have had any potential one night stands to see past the wheelchair. He transferred into the shower, deep in thought as to how he could be able to keep his budding friendship with David stable enough for it to become a full fledged friendship. He kept the lights off as he showered and got ready for the day.
David got into the dresser drawer that Simon had told him held his sweatpants. He dug around the messy dresser for a t shirt that would be able to fit him but there were not that would fit. Simon was easily two sizes smaller than he was. The man was much thinner than David was and it didn't help that he was shorter than David. David kept his shirt on from yesterday, glad that it was just a dark blue t-shirt. He would stop at his house to get changed into something a little more professional than what he was wearing. He slipped on the sweatpants. They were a pair of soft gray sweatpants. He wouldn't go into work wearing sweatpants. He would change into another pair of jeans when he went home. He didn't want to venture out of Simon's bedroom but his stomach grumbled in protest to the thought.
He ventured out of Simon's bedroom and found his way to the kitchen. Eric was already up and eating a bowl of cereal at the table.
"Good morning," Eric greeted, sounding tired. "Did you spend the night with my dad?"
"Yes, I did," David responded honestly. There was no need to lie to the young boy that he had spent the night. David and Simon hadn't done anything more than kiss. David hadn't wanted to push Simon into having sex when they had just met even though they did have a very hot snogging session last night. David knew that after Simon had fallen asleep, he had needed to wank in the bathroom. He began to look around for something to eat. Simon came into the kitchen, looking a little worse for wear.
He had taken a couple of painkillers to help with the headache and it was beginning to ebb away. He needed coffee for it to help. He turned on the coffee maker. "Are you going to school today?" Simon asked. David nodded. He wanted to work on lesson plans for the first week of school.
"Are you?" David asked. "Is it alright if I have some coffee?"
"No, I'm not going in. I need to take Eric shopping to get some new uniforms and school supplies," Simon responded. "Go ahead." He got out a mug for David. So they weren't going to talk about what had happened the previous night. Simon didn't want to bring up the subject around Eric. It needed to be a conversation that the two men would need to have in private. Simon made himself a bowl of cereal.
