A NEW UNCLAIMED CHILD TO THE COLLECTION"Percy Jackson, we've been expecting you"
POV: Minerva Redfield
I was lying in my bed having a peaceful moment, that's the biggest lie I've ever told myself. Actually, I was trying to navigate my own mind to see if I could remember anything more about my past. When I crossed the barrier between the mortal and immortal worlds, half of my life got erased from my memories. Fortunately, I have been gradually recovering it thanks to my gifts, but there are still several things I have trouble remembering. For example, I don't know the names of my parents, friends, or even teachers. The only name that comes to mind is Kyle, my dog.
It's ironic since he never reacted to his own name, my parents and I even came to believe he was deaf or something. As I wrapped the sheets around me I felt something hit my leg. —Hey! —I shouted in a low voice turning to see my assailant, to my surprise (ofc not) it was Luke. He does this every evening in the hope that one night he will walk in and I will already be awake to do my chores.
—Wake up Minnie, you have to train the Apollo cabin kids like you promised —Luke whispered as he leaned back against the bed frame. I squirmed on the bed remembering my responsibilities. —Sometimes I wish I was a butterfly, they are born, they travel, they are beautiful and they die in a week —I mumbled looking up at the abyss of my cabin roof. —Get up —he murmured as he lifted me out of bed by the arms and brought me out the cabin. Before I could say anything to him, Luke had already carried me like a sack of potatoes, making my brain scramble even more. I noticed how none of my mates woke up, seriously if one day someone kidnaps me they wouldn't notice until the next morning.
—What the fuck are you doing?! —I said while trying to stop the world from spinning around me. Luke put me down leaving me free. After arguing for a whole minute about why it's wrong for me to swear but it's okay when Luke says it, I went inside to get ready. I must admit, I would have completely forgotten that I was supposed to train Apollo's children if Luke hadn't reminded me, I have a terrible memory. Although it may not seem like it, I really like to dress up. I know I may not be as beautiful as the children of Aphrodite but that doesn't stop me from enjoying something that makes me happy.
