Sunlight beamed from the window very brightly, causing me to wake up. I didn’t want to open my eyes because I felt like I would go blind, and then, the events from last night bubbled to the surface. Holy Shit! Wasn’t Luck in my room last night when I fell asleep? What happened? My heart began to race, and my eyes shot open. I used my eyes to look around my bedroom, seeing Luck to my right. WE SLEPT TOGETHER!? My face turned to a dark shade of red. I think my panic woke up Luck because right after that, he began to stir. I felt the weight of his head come up off of mine. I heard him yawn, my head still resting on his shoulder. Damn, he’s so cute when he’s waking up. Wait, WHAT!? I can’t think like that, he’s my best friend and he would never think of us as anything more. So I shouldn’t either. The blonde boy turned his head towards me. I got nervous since he would know that I didn’t move even though I was awake, so I pulled my head away from his shoulder and turned my head in the opposite direction of him.
“Magna, what’s wrong?” Luck asks me, sounding worried.
    “N-Nothing. I’m okay.” I tell him.
“Are you sure? Look at me.” The lightning mage asks me.
I shake my head, still not facing him. Until, he reaches his arm around in front of me, grabbing my chin and turning my head to face him. As he does that, my face becomes a bright pink.
“Are you okay, Magna? Do you have a fever?” The boy inquires, feeling my forehead. Seeming truly worried about my health.
“I-I’m alright, L-Luck.” I manage to stutter out somehow. The smaller boy removes his hand from my head, but then brings both arms up and hugs me around my neck. My face becomes flustered once again. I then wrap my arms around him as well. Why is he so soft and warm. He feels really comforting as well, I could stay like this all day. Sadly, Luck lets go, so I follow, and I release him as well.
“S-Sorry- I didn’t- I-“ Luck stutters, as his face is reddening.
“It’s okay, Luck. I enjoyed it. It felt nice.” Realizing what I just said, I looked away quickly, avoiding eye contact. ”By the way, Im sorry about last night. I didn’t mean for that to happen.” I explained.
“It’s okay! Friends are there for each other.” The blonde boy said with a sweet, genuine smile.
“Y-Yeah, you’re right.” Except I don’t think friends normally sleep together, I thought to myself.
Luck POV:
Honestly, I’m kinda bummed Magna, and I haven’t been able to hang out much recently. He’s been hanging with the new kids, plus accompanying them on their first mission. Sucks, I wish Magna and I could go clear a strong dungeon together or something. I miss hanging out with my best friend. It hurts inside. I don’t know why, but it makes my heart ache not being able to be around him. I wonder if I should ask someone for advice?
I decided that I should talk to someone about my issue and see if they can provide me with anything useful. I figure the best person to ask would be Vanessa since she’s like an older sister to me. I walk into the common room, seeing her sitting on the couch. Perfect timing, it seems like she hasn’t started drinking yet. Although she’s probably about to, I should get this done quickly. I walk over to the couch and sit down next to her.
“U-uhm, hey, Vanessa?” I say nervously.
“What’s up, kiddo? You need somethin’? She inquires.
“W-Well, yeah. I kind of do. I wanted to ask you about this feeling I’ve been having.” I explain to her.
“Oh, is that so? What is it then? Like, what does it feel like?” She asks me while she begins reaching for an unopened bottle of wine.
“So, it f-feels like, there’s t-this ache in my c-chest, whenever I’m not like, around s-someone.” I stutter over many of my words, my palms beginning to sweat as I await her response.
“When you’re not around anyone, or someone in specific, sweetie?” She questions.
“I-I, U-uhm, w-well. Someone specific-.” I manage to tell her as my face heats up.
“Ah, so it seems you may have a lil crush! That’s so cute, Luck!” Vanessa explained, “C’mon you’ve got to tell me who the lucky girl isss? Pleaseeee?” She then began to beg me to tell her.
“I-I don’t think I’m ready to share anything yet, haha” I say as I can feel how red my face is, and I scratch the back of my neck nervously.
“Aww, okay. I guess I have to respect that, but just know that your big sister Vanessa will always be here to support you or to talk to if you need me!”
“Thanks Vanessa, that’s comforting.” I tell her as I stand up from the couch. I walk over to Vanessa and hug her for her kindness and how helpful she has been to me. I decide that I want to do some training to clear my mind, so I go outside the hideout and get to it.
