The air hung heavy with the weight of tension as I approached Dinah. I took a deep breath, "I'm sorry," I began, my gaze fixated on the floor, unable to meet the eyes that had witnessed my emotional outburst. "I didn't mean the things I said. I was angry, hurt, and I let it all spill out without thinking."
"I know I can be difficult, and you don't deserve to be on the receiving end of my frustration," I continued, "You've always been there for me, and I took that for granted. I'm sorry for the pain I caused."
Dinah approached slowly and enveloped me in a tender hug. I broke down and cried. "I'm so so sorry..." I whispered through my sobs.
She embraced me tighter as she whispered into my ear. "I love you, and I forgive you," Dinah said, "I know you're struggling, just remember. I am here for you. Always..."
