Bella's agonizing screams fill the room as she lies on the extended table, her sickly appearance mirroring her cries of pain. Unbeknownst to anyone, she is in the midst of giving birth to twin daughters. The process takes a toll on her body, as the babies exhibit remarkable strength even before entering the world.
The two unusually beautiful babies inside are experiencing confusion and irritability as their mother moves and weakens. The continuous motion is starting to suffocate the two girls, who already share a strong bond. The bigger baby, who will eventually be named Renesmee, is constantly shifting and expressing concern towards her smaller sister-who despite her smaller size, it is apparent that she possesses a greater amount of vampire blood with the hue glowing under her skin.
With an insatiable thirst, the two girls eagerly consume the newly infused blood, replenishing their energy and vitality. Little do they realize the immense pain it causes their mother, who on the outside of their little home, watches helplessly from the outside as her blood stains the sheets.
Renesmee, being closer to the exit, is the first to be whisked away by Edward. As she emerges into an unfamiliar place, she is instantly overwhelmed by a brilliant light that pierces her eyes, signaling her entry into this strange and unexplored world.
Edward's face lit up with joy as he gently handed the child over to Bella. Despite feeling sick and exhausted, Bella's eyes sparkled with excitement as she eagerly embraced her newborn.
Edward, however, couldn't help but notice something peculiar. As he went back inside, he returned with another baby, a girl, cradled in his arms. A perplexed expression crossed his face as he gazed up at the little girl. His attention fixated on her eyes, which seemed to possess a more vampiric quality compared to her sister's. A deep frown formed on Edward's forehead, indicating his concern and confusion and slight annoyance.
In that moment, Edward's mind raced with questions. How could this be? Was it possible for one child to inherit more vampire-like traits than the other? He couldn't help but wonder if this was a sign of something significant. As he continued to study the girl's eyes, he noticed a difference in their color and intensity. They held a mesmerizing depth, reminiscent of the deep-rooted hunger. Edward's frown deepened; his mind filled with conflicting emotions. On one hand, he couldn't deny the beauty and uniqueness of the girl's vampiric features. It was definitely inhumane. Her skin flawless, her nose perfectly straight, her lips a perfect red, her eyes perfectly symmetrical.
On the other hand, he worried about the challenges she might face growing up with such distinct characteristics. Would she be accepted by their vampire community? Would she struggle to fit in with humans? These thoughts weighed heavily on Edward's heart as he contemplated the future of his newborn daughter. He could only hope she had enough human in her to pass off as hybrid.
Bella had already observed the arrival of another newborn. She motioned for Edward to hand her the second baby, who immediately caught her attention. This baby bore a striking resemblance to her sister, almost like a mirror image. However, there was a distinct difference - the eyes. They were a mesmerizing combination of gold, green, and orange, unlike anything she had ever seen before. To Bella, those unique orbs were absolutely beautiful. Unlike her sister, this baby had less of a rosy flush on her cheeks. Her skin was flawless, resembling that of a perfect doll. Although not as pale as the typical vampire, she had a subtle grayish blue under-hue to her complexion. Her hair had just begun to show hints of a rich oak brown shade, and her lips were a striking red. When Bella touched her, she noticed that she was cooler than her sister, almost like the sensation of sitting in front of a fan and drifting off to sleep.
The newborn's presence was both enchanting and intriguing to Bella. She couldn't help but marvel at the delicate features of this baby, so different yet so captivating. As she held her in her arms, she couldn't shake off the feeling of awe and wonder at the sight before her. This baby, with her unique eyes, flawless skin, and cool touch, seemed to possess an otherworldly charm that drew Bella in. Despite the differences from her sister, this newborn exuded a sense of tranquility and mystery that left Bella spellbound. It was as if a new chapter had begun, filled with endless possibilities and uncharted territories. And as Bella gazed into those mesmerizing eyes, she knew that this baby held a special place in her heart, a connection that transcended the boundaries of the known world.
Bella had a profound realization about the true essence of motherhood. It dawned on her that she was willing to go to great lengths for her two daughters. The love she felt for them was so intense that she would do absolutely anything to ensure their well-being and happiness. It wasn't just Edward who anchored her to this world anymore; it was also these two precious girls, her own flesh and blood. From that moment on, Bella made a solemn vow to always be there for her daughters. She promised herself that she would not only listen to them attentively when they spoke, but also comfort them whenever they shed tears.
The fierce maternal instinct within her was awakened, and she knew that she would protect her babies with every fiber of her being. Bella embraced motherhood wholeheartedly, understanding that her love for her daughters was a force that would drive her to do whatever it takes to ensure their happiness and safety.
The child nestled in her arms jolted abruptly biting into Bella's wrist causing a surge of pain to course through her body. Although the sensation barely registered, she knew she couldn't have prevented it even if she had felt it. Edward, ever the composed one, swiftly intervened, soothing the distressed child as she wailed in response to the loss of blood. He understood that raising her would prove to be more challenging than her older sister. Later, he would have to consult with Carlisle about this matter. Anxious, he noticed with trepidation that the sound of a sluggish heartbeat had ceased. Entrusting the two newborns to Alice and Rosalie, who had arrived after the birth of the twin girls, Edward desperately attempted to resuscitate Bella. Alas, his efforts were in vain, for she had succumbed to death.
In a final act of desperation, he injected her with his venom just as Jake rushed into the room. His sorrowful eyes fixated on Bella, reflecting a heartbroken expression. His Bella was gone... and it was Edward's fault. Overwhelmed by sadness, fatigue, and anger, he stormed off in search of the monsters responsible for Bella's demise. Tonight, they would pay with their lives. As he entered the room with a fiery determination to exact revenge, his gaze unexpectedly locked with one of the babies. She was larger than her sister and possessed the same warm brown eyes as Bella. In that moment, everything changed. Every breath he took was for her. Every ounce of love he possessed was dedicated solely to her. She became his reason for existence, his everything. She was his lifeline, and he vowed to be there for her unconditionally. Jacob, startled by the realization, hastily left the house, passing Edward who wore a stunned expression on his face. Standing before the wolves who thirsted for blood, he declared with a fierce growl, "It ends here, it's finished. If you harm the baby, you harm me!" The wolves, taken aback by his unwavering determination, recoiled and with angry howls, retreated into the night, a big black wolf leading them in their retreat.
