It's the following Solstice, Eudora took to the winter court again. The year prior was memorable. She was filled with pure joy as she took to the town within the Winter Court, passing everyone with a smile and talking to anyone that gave her just the slightest bit of attention.

And this year was all the same, similar to last year on the day of Solstice, before the true celebrations began, she found Silas and his brother again playing the lyre and harp.

After informing her father that she wished to play, they tried to learn together but he wasn't exactly skilled in instruments. However, not wanting to let his daughters' wish fail, he paid for lessons that she went to twice a week.

It was during the second month when her natural skills kicked in. It's like learning to walk. She found it difficult in the beginning, but earlier than the average, Eudora was playing the instrument like it was second nature.

And of course, as Silas and Orestes was packing up, their father still nowhere in sight, Eudora followed a similar routine and walked up to the siblings. She dropped another few silver coins in their bucket. The sound of the metal clattering grabbed Silas's attention.

"Thank you.", he said though Eudora pulled her lips in dissatisfied that he didn't turn around. Orestes didn't even say a thank you, he just packed the wagon, not bothered by the gratitude.

Eudora searched her pocket, taking what of her allowance and found another two silver coins. She didn't hesitate and threw them in the bucket making more of a loud clattering sound to grab the attention of both brothers.

Silas turned around quickly his eyes struck with confusion. He looked at Eudora and she waved innocently.

"Hi."

It took him a second. All the faces that come and go start to blur especially on a day like Solstice but, Eudora is not a face to be forgotten. From the hazel eyes that rimmed with a beautiful green to the long hair that was now straigtened and waves like silk down to her hip.

His smile came easy, "Eudora.", he said stepping up and peering into the bucket that was knocked over from her act.

She noted that Orestes only peered over his shoulder, just to get a glimpse and turned back dissatisfied from the commotion.

"That's better than just a 'thank you'.", she teased and helped him gather the coins. "Happy Solstice by the way."

"And to you as well.", Silas said politely lifting the bucket and putting it on the wagon.

One thing that Eudora noted about Silas was his mannerism. She's used to hanging out with adults. Not by force, simply by choice as her parents travel to most courts and realms in the lands and she accompanies them. While she calls the High Lord of the Summer Court uncle, she also is spoiled by the High Lord of Day.

She's been to the Spring Court and while she hung with the Tamlin's son, it was more fun sitting in on the meetings her father and him would hold. She'd be quiet sitting off the side eating or practicing her reading. Her father insisted that she should play with the kids her age in the nearby town, but there was nothing to compare to the time she had to just be with them ever since being permitted to join their affairs.

Silas spoke like someone who shared her experience. Who's been with the high power and inherited their dialect. Something she appreciated.
