Eudora knew that after her fourth shot, she should of quit. But when Orestes and Silas joined her back at the pub called Rita's they did continuous celebratory shots. Then one final throw back till their next Winter Solstice. She didn't get a chance to say goodbye to Asteria, but hoped that her next visit to her island would be soon.

The trio hardly made it past Eudora's front door step before crashing on the softest surface they could find. Which is the main reason Eudora woke up on her couch, while Orestes and Silas some how ended up slumped on the rug and crushing the roses from a tipped over flower pot.

She groaned and turned over on the couch, her vision slightly bleary as she squinted her eyes, blocked by the pounding headache. The hearth was empty of fire and wood and Eudora hardly had the energy to get up and start one to warm the space. Orestes was still in the casual clothing, his button top disheveled  just like his hair with a hand resting over his face.

She didn't have the strength to look over to see where Orestes was but she trusted the distinct feel of the air that indicated something else was in the room. The sun was high in the air, breaking through the window pane and still curtains. It lit up the warm decor that spread through the living room from the wooden walls accented with swirls, and the paintings that hang on them.

The sun struck the painting her mother did on the Summer Court's palace. Her mother was always showering her with gifts. The painting was just one of the many that she never failed to appreciate. Despite it being blurry from the mix of alcohol trying to clear from her blood, Eudora found her self staring at the picture until the room finally stopped spinning.

The memories of her decisions slowly started coming back from her encounter with the Night Court female to seeing Asteria and Orestes making out. The latter amplifying the nauseous feeling in her stomach.

Eudora swallowed the saliva that started forming in her mouth and closed her eyes to focus on keeping everything down. She took deep breath and prayed to the Gods and angels that she doesn't puke. Not in fear of leaving a carpet stain, but the fear of throwing up in itself.

Usually Eudora stops herself before breaking the barrier between sober and drunk. However, when she meets with Asteria, it's like her cousin brings out another side of her. That on top of the roaring life within the Night Court on solstice.

"Eudora..", Silas woke up and called her name.

"Shut. Up.", Eudora said through her teeth, not wanting anything or anyone to break her concentration on maintaining the control on her body.

Silas mumbled something incoherent before he sighed and the place went quiet again.

Until the silence broke from a knock on her door. But due to Eudora's sensitive state, the soft knock sounded more like an angry pound.

No one answered the door. Orestes just turning over in his sleep, his larger figure taking up more than half of the rug. Silas being the closest one to the door, could only move slightly before slumping back on the smushed petals.

When the trio failed to answer the first knock, a second one sounded along with Sage's voice. "Eudora? Sweetie are you okay?"

"No...", she said, though her voice was barely above a whisper, she knew her mother's sense of hearing was keen. Enough so that her small whimper prompted her mother to open the door. The first thing Eudora heard was a sigh then footsteps approaching the couch.
