Jing Yuan x Yanqing's Older Sister!Reader(Honkai Star Rail)

A/N: Reader is over 18.

Y/N's POV

" 4998....4999....5000!" My brother counted as he swung his sword. " Try not to over exert yourself. I don't want you getting hurt." I said to him. " I'm fine sis. I have to be get stronger so I can be just like the general." He said. I sighed. " Of course you do." I said as I walked away. My name is Y/N. I'm the older sister of Yanqing. I was only ten years old when Yanqing was born. Shortly after Yanqing was born our parents left us. I have still have no idea why. I was left to take care of him by myself. I was able to manage well because I was used to taking care of small animals like kittens and puppies. So I knew what a baby needed to survive. Six years later Yanqing got into a disagreement with a large group of people regarding some sort of public debate. 

At that event my brother caught the eye of Jing Yuan, the General of the Xianzhou Luofu. Jing Yuan decided to take on my brother as his student at that very moment. He didn't object to me tagging along since I'm Yanqing's sister. Over the course of the next two years my brother has trained under Jing Yuan and has become his retainer. But he's still too tiny to take the Cloud Knight Exam...Jing Yuan's words not mine. However, since my brother is the only family I have left I'm still a little skeptical about him becoming a knight. He has fought in battles before, but that doesn't mean I've approved of this. 

Plus I still have no idea why Jing Yuan wanted to take my brother on as a student. I hear the people gossip about them. I've heard rumors about how Jing Yuan is cultivating him to be his heir. Other rumors talk about Yanqing being a secret weapon. But Jing Yuan hasn't responded to any of these rumors. While he does have a father-son bond with my brother, I see Jing Yuan as more of a friend since he's helped me take care of Yanqing. But I'm still wary of him. Even though we've been with him for the past two years.

" Alright, since the General will be back from his meeting soon I should probably clean up the house before he get's back." I said. To repay Jing Yuan for his kindness I try to help out whenever I can. Usually I clean around the house or make dinner whenever Jing Yuan is away. Sometimes he'll also ask me to help with his paperwork too. Even though I still don't trust him, I am thankful that he took us both in. Yanqing stayed outside practicing while I cleaned the house and started on dinner. " Steak should be good for tonight." I said as I started preparing it. I looked out the window at Yanqing. He was completely exhausted but kept swinging his sword. 

" Another...10,000! I can do....another....10,000!" He said. I sighed. " I just wish he could be a normal kid." I thought to myself. " Mmm...that smells good." I heard someone say. I quickly turned to see Jing Yuan looking over my shoulder. I let out a small scream and fell backwards. But Jing Yuan caught me before I hit the ground. " G-General! I didn't know you were home." I sad as he helped me up. " My meeting got done early so I decided to head home. Apologies for startling you." He said. " No problem. It's my fault for not realizing you were here." I said. He smiled then turned his gaze towards my brother. " How long has he been out there?" He asked.

" Since this morning. He ate breakfast and went straight to training." I said. " I see." He said. He walked over to the entrance and grabbed his spear. " Going to spar with him?" I asked. " Of course. As his teacher, I must train him." Jing Yuan said. He then walked outside and started sparring with Yanquing. " But what is your end goal for my brother?" I thought to myself. 

Time Skip...

It was now late in the evening and I just finished dinner. Yanqing came in the dining room after taking a shower. But for some reason, the General didn't show up. " Yanqing, where's the General?" I asked. " Oh he said he had some paperwork to do so he won't be joining us." Yanqing said. I nod and give him some dinner. " Ooh steak." Yanqing said. He began eating it and I smiled.
I sat next to him and began eating myself. After a while we both finished eating. Jing Yuan never joined us. " I'm going to bring his dinner to his study. I don't want him not to eat." I said to Yanqing. " I'll wash the dishes for you then." Yanqing said. " Thank you brother." I said. I took Jing Yuan's dinner and walked to his study.
