Now that we were done with the icebreaker, I knew that all the question were about to start rolling in and they began with Alastor, "So, what made you want to come here Y/n?" His voice sounded like it had a radio filter over it making it known what he liked to do in his spare time.
I looked towards everyone before conceiving my answer, "Well, I saw how much Charlie was dedicated to wanting to help sinners and I thought that I would like to help as well. Nothing to special about it all."
I could hear the gravelly voice from beside me begin to talk as I looked towards Husk, "If you're also a sinner you wouldn't be much help," He said as Charlie pipped up after him, "Her being here is already a start since it'll show people actually are wanting redemption," she said.
"It doesn't look like there is much for her to redeem though?" Nifty said as she was attempting to stab a bug on the floor chasing it around, "Yeah, you look very different from us," Angel piped up.
"Again, with the different comment," I questioned with a slight glared as he shook his head quickly, "How come when I say it, it's a problem!" he said as I shook my head.
I sighed before rolling my eyes, "I was given a choice when I died. I could choose to stay in Heaven for the rest of my life or I can choose to come to Hell," I could see the shocked faces of everyone practically asking me why I did without having to say it, "I choose Hell because I knew my job of helping people was not over just because I died. You should have seen the faces of the Seraphim when I told them my decision; they warned me against it, but I didn't care. They said how bad of a decision I was making but ultimately, they casted me down," I shook my head softly looking down at my shoes as I could hear soft footsteps walking towards me and a hand placed on my shoulder.
I looked up to see Charlie smiling down at me, "You were so brave to make a decision like that and I promise to make it worth it," she hugged me softly as I looked towards the others, I could tell some of them were not happy with my story but also, they knew it wasn't their decision to make. My hand softly patted Charlie on her back as I smiled, I felt like I finally had a family that I barely did in my former life.
"Well how about I show Y/n to her room," Alastor said as Charlie let me go and nodded, I stood up and looked towards Alastor as he used some kind of tentacle arms to grab my suitcases, motioning me to follow him so I did.
We began walking up the grand staircase as I could hear the others talking from downstairs and from the corner of my eye, I could see Vaggie's staring into my back.
Alastor and I walked down a long corridor in silence, all I could hear were my heels hitting the floor and the slimy tentacles from behind me, I was hoping they wouldn't ruin any of my stuff. I decided to break the silence with a question, "Alastor?" he hummed back in response.
"Why did you decide to come here?" I asked as his he stopped for a split second before continuing his pace again, "The same reason you are here darling," he said but I could feel the shift in his energy indicting he was lying.
"Is that so?" I said as he nodded before stopping at a door and opening it, letting me in before him. The tentacles placed down my bags beside the door before saying, "Are you questioning my reasoning?" He now stood right in front of me, being shorter than him I had to look up towards him in order to look him in the eyes.
Now I could tell he was some kind of powerful demon, which made me slightly scared to have made it easy for him to tell that I didn't believe him. The fact that I hadn't died for a bit, it was easy to tell that I didn't know much about the hierarchy situation that goes on down here. But I couldn't let him know that I was scared that's how you get taken advantage of.
So, no matter how loud my heart was pounding right now I looked him in the eye confidently and smiled, "Of course not," he stared down at me with the same grin on his face as before letting out a small chuckle, "Good, we wouldn't want you getting off on the wrong foot," he walked towards my door before walking out and closing it shut.
Once I heard the door close, I let out the breath that I didn't know I was holding in trying to keep my composure. I for sure did not want to get on his bad side but I also was not going to let some demon bitch me around as if I'm nothing compared to them.
The room was bleak, but I'm assuming that I was allowed to decorate it the way that I wanted.
Looks like it was time to put all my stuff away.
