Chapter 5

"Rise and shine!" I heard my door slam open as a sing song like voice yelled while turning on my light, I instantly sat up making the blanket fall down exposing my chest which luckily was covered still as I recognized the voice of Charlie and standing next to her was Vaggie.

As I realized what was happening, I pulled the blanket back up to my neck as Charlie began to apologize with her hands covering her eyes.

"Oh shit I am sooooo sorry!" Charlie said as Vaggie shook her head, "Please tell me everyone else is getting woken up like this as well," I said as I yawned and rubbed my eyes.

"Uh no... since it's your first day we wanted you up nice and early for some activities!" Vaggie said with a fake enthusiasm as I groaned loudly and began to move my legs to the edge of the bed.

"Well, I'll be down in 10 minutes tops," I said as Charlie nodded and closed the door shut.

Once she closed the door I let the blanket fall from around me and put on my robe. I would open the windows to let in some light but the only light that would come in is the red light of the sky.

That is something I did not want to look at this early in the morning, my eyes adjusted to being awake as I yawned once more. Luckily my headache had gone but now I had to get ready for the day.

My feet guided me towards my closet where I put all my clothes neatly away, I decided I was just going to wear some skinny jeans and a band t-shirt.

With this outfit I looked a lot more different compared to yesterday, I can admit that I didn't exactly look like a sinner with those clothes on.

But I technically wasn't one, so could I be blamed?

I made my way to the bathroom with the first glance being the mess of my hair. A grown escaped my lips as I grabbed a hair brush and began to comb it, the frizz didn't escape fully so I grabbed a hair curler and put some soft curls nothing too fancy.

Before walking out my bedroom door, I grabbed some cute platform heels since I love the noises they make when I walk plus they were quite comfortable for being heels.

"Okay, let's see what today brings us Y/n," I said quietly as I wrapped my hand around the door knob and swung it open.

Immediately being greeted with Niffty chasing a bug in front of my room. "Morning Y/n! I'm killing bugs!" she said happily as I cringed before smiling.

"Morning Niffty," I carefully made sure not to get in her way before walking down the hallway to go downstairs. I could smell some food and it looked like out of nowhere there was a lounge with a big table where everyone but Angel, Alastor, and of course Niffty were sitting at.

Upon hearing me walking down the stairs everyone looked up towards me before Charlie stood up quickly, "Y/n! Come sit with us and eat!" she pulled out a chair that was beside her on the table and I walked slowly over to it.

Of course, Charlie was at the head of the table, Vaggie on her left side, me on her right, and Husk beside me.

On the table were a lot of different plates of breakfast items like pancakes, waffles, sausage, eggs, toast, and fruit.

"I didn't know we had a kitchen for all of this stuff," I laughed as Charlie smiled.

"Before Alastor left he conjured up this little feast for us to all eat together," she said as I nodded and Husk handed me a plate.

I started to grab my food and placed the plate in front of me waiting for everyone else to get theirs, "Would you like anything to drink Y/n?" Vaggie asked as I nodded, she handed me a pitcher of orange juice and I poured some.

As I was handing the pitcher back over, I could feel tension between me and Vaggie, almost like the night before when I could feel her staring into my soul after my story.

Maybe she wanted to talk to me about something and just hasn't had the courage to just yet.

"So, how did you sleep last night?" Charlie asked as she took a bite of a pancake and that was my cue to begin eating as well.

"Well, after showering I decided to explore the hotel a bit and hung out with Husk until Angel came home late," I said before Vaggie rose an eyebrow.

"Angel left? But he said he was going to bed after us and went to his room-. Did that bastard sneak out?" she snarled, shaking her head in annoyance.

"Not like he's under house arrest right?" Hush said not having any breakfast just some type of alcohol.

"Well no, but we don't know what he's getting up to that late," Charlie said slightly judging Husk's choice of a breakfast. "Y/n, did you just die recently?" she asked me.

I nodded softly while taking a bite of my pancake, "So, you don't know about much down here?", I was starting to get concerned with all of the questions.

"No, I don't," I said.

"Well, just a fair warning then. Don't make a deal with Alastor, he's a very powerful demon that you don't want to get involved with," Vaggie said looking towards me as if asking for me to agree.

"I assumed he was so yesterday. Doesn't surprise me there is a hierarchy in hell, just like in the human world," I took another bite of my pancakes before we heard someone walking down the hallway.

Everyone looked up to see Angel coming down the stairs groggily, not happy to be awake.

"Morning Angel!" Charlie said as he groaned in annoyance, taking a seat next to Vaggie.

"Mornin," he said.

Charlie passed him a plate but he declined it as she set it back down carefully.

"We heard you were out last night," Vaggie said looking towards him.

"Who the fuck told you!?" He said glaring towards me and Husk.

"It doesn't matter who told us, but we have a task for you today to say sorry," she said with a small smile before looking towards Charlie.

Charlie looked at her confused before Vaggie made a face looking in my direction quickly then back at her, "Yes we do! We decided since you love going out, that you should take our new guest to get some decor for her room!" she said happily as Angel's eyes narrowed.

"Sorry toots, but I have stuff to do," He said as he was about to get up and leave until Vaggie pulled him back down.

"Unless you want to keep staying here for free than I suggest you do it," she said threateningly.

He scoffed before rolling his eyes and agreeing, "Just give me a few minutes to get ready."
