I stepped out of the shower, wrapped my silk robe around my body to stop the cold air from giving my skin more goosebumps than it already had. At first, I felt scared to take a shower here thinking a creep could somehow sneak a camera in here, but I decided that it didn't matter after realizing how much I had walked to get to the hotel.
When I arrived, it was already around dinner time and after being shown my room I decided I would just relax in here. So, now it was about 11 pm and I could hear no one was really around.
I began to dry my long, wet hair with a towel until it became dry enough to put some hair product in it. I still hadn't gotten used to the way that everything was down here in Hell, but I also couldn't blame myself since I barely arrived.
My first thought was that I wanted to explore the hotel a bit while no one was awake just to get a feel for it. So, I put on my underwear and decided to just leave my robe over it. Everyone should be asleep but if they weren't it's not like I was completely naked.
I put on my cute bunny slippers to keep my feet from touching the cold wood floors and proceeded to walk outside of my bathroom to my room door. I opened the door softly hearing a small creak before poking my head outside to make sure everyone was gone. I could hear soft snores from the other doors and took that as my sign.
Walking out my room, I slowly closed the door behind me and began to walk down the corridor. I made sure to be as quiet as a mouse so that I wouldn't wake anyone up, I didn't have to walk far before making it to the large staircase.
At the staircase I could see a light on, but it was the light from the bar which I assumed stayed on throughout the night. I used to light to make sure that I wasn't going to bust my ass going down the stairs.
Unlucky for me though at the last three steps I missed it and fell on my ass making a loud thud that I hoped wouldn't wake anyone up. "Couldn't sleep huh?" I heard a deep voice say from above as I quickly made sure I was covered by my robe which I luckily was.
I looked up to see Husk was behind the bar, I stood up slowly using the railing as a guide. My wet hair stuck to my face as I wiped it away, Husk let out a small giggle at my display. I slowly walked up to the bar and sat down at one of the stools.
"I wanted to explore a bit while no one was awake," I said as he nodded motioning towards the drinks, "I was never a drinker, but if you have anything sweet, I'll try it," he nodded before grabbing a shaker and whatever alcohol he needed.
I looked at his display of alcohol not recognizing the names of them, "What made you think to come to Hell when you don't even know what you like to drink," Husk said with a small laugh as I smiled, "To be honest, I never went out much in life. If I did people offered to buy me drinks, it felt like a game not knowing what I was getting," I smiled as he nodded handing me a blue drink with a cherry on top.
My eyes traveled to the drink as I slowly lifted the straw to my lips and took a sip, the sweetness hit me like a truck, and I could taste the alcohol at the end of the drink, but it was nothing too crazy. He stared at me as I tasted the drink waiting for my approval, "It's good, just a little too sweet," He nodded.
"Taking drinks from strangers, that's risky," he said as I nodded leaning my head against my hand, "As someone who didn't take risk it was something that seemed like fun to me," I said as he began to drink on his own.
I took another sip of my drink using the straw to play with the cherry that I hadn't eaten yet, usually I would eat the cherry first off of everything, but this time was different. "Husk, do you think I made the wrong decision?" I asked as he looked at me softly.
"I can tell the type of person you are Y/N. You want to help everyone but sometimes that isn't possible without hurting yourself in the process, but you're already dead why keep doing it?" He said looking me in my eye as I seemed to search for the answer within his. I never realized how weird everyone looked in Hell before I was lost looking at him.
I could feel my vision get cloudy while I searched through every crevasse of my mind to answer him, his eyes pierced my soul as he also waited but we were quickly interrupted by the front door opening softly.
Who was coming in that late at night?
