Later that night as everyone slept soundly, a burning sensation began and radiated from Araile's forehead. Her eyes snapped open as it continued, and spread down to the tips of her fingers and toes. Her eyes narrowed in pain as the burning persisted; it felt like someone had placed hot embers in the very core of her soul, starting with her forehead.
"What's going on?" she whispered to herself as fear settled over the girl.
Her muscles twitched as her forehead continued to burn; her breath hissed between her teeth as she clenched her jaw tightly. Araile struggled to de-tangle herself from the sleeping roll, and shakily got to her feet quietly. She didn't want to wake Team 7 from their slumber. Araile clutched the edge of her shirt with trembling hands as another wave of pain washed over the girl.
"What's happening to me?" Araile quietly whimpered as her eyes began to water.
A feeling washed suddenly over Araile, and her mind suddenly went blank. A deep male voice entered her mind as her body went limp.
Ah, finally, a body that is worthy of my control! the voice said, laughing.
"Who are you?" Araile whispered as she sank to her knees, the burning almost becoming too much for her to handle.
The voice laughed again.
'I am Ishimaru, a pleasure my dear.'
"Ishimaru...?" she trailed off, and winced as the burning flared.
'That's right,' the voice said again, and another wave of pain caused the girl to bite her lip.
"What do you want with me?" Araile gritted out, limbs beginning to shake.
'I require a vessel to build up my strength, and you my dear will be quite a suitable vessel. A bit small, but good nonetheless,' Ishimaru said casually.
'Now, let's see what this body can do,' Ishimaru said with malicious glee.
The young girl flinched as a new sensation raced through her body, causing her to rock back and forth on the sleeping roll on her heels...back and forth...back and forth.
"Hey Araile, are you alright? I heard you say something," a voice said behind the shaking girl.
Her head whipped around, and she looked to see Naruto standing there behind her, concern written on his face. She slowly stood up and backed away from Naruto, eyes being covered by the shadow of her bangs. Her heart began to race as her body moved without her control.
'Naruto! Run! Get help!' Araile cried out in her mind as her body stood still.
"Hey, Araile? Yoo-hoo, Earth to Araile!" Naruto said as he took a step towards the girl, but stopped as she growled deeply.
Before Naruto could do anything, Araile lunged at him with a deep snarl. Naruto fell back with a yelp of surprise as Araile whipped around him and headed towards the trees, stopping at the edge.
"AAHH! Kakashi-sensei! Something's wrong with Araile!" Naruto shouted as he ran towards Team 7.
Everybody woke up, and looked at Naruto in surprise.
'Let's get out of this place, shall we?' Ishimaru said after a moment of silence and the girl continued to run.
Araile again felt her body not responding to her, but instead to the decision of this Ishimaru. She batted against the iron fist that grasped her mind, but to no avail. The demon was too strong for the young girl, and she was powerless to stop him. She continued to run as fast as her legs could move, going farther and farther into the forest. Branches slashed at her arms and face, but her body continued to run.
Trees whipped past her as she ran with demonic speed. Araile's body suddenly skidded to a stop as her eyes stared at someone that stood in her way. Her gold eyes, now a dull purple, narrowed slightly.
The person raised his hand as he pulled out some shurikan, ready to strike.
"Ah, its the Copy Ninja, Hatake Kakashi. I've heard so much about you," Ishimaru mused, using Araile as his mouthpiece.
"What have you done with Araile," Kakashi growled.
Ishimaru laughed in her mind, making the young girl grin.
