Hey so if u do like my story just reminding you I always forget to do the Star thing so if you could I would rly appreciate it thank you but you don't have to :)

I ran to the forest from school as fast as I could. I felt
like I would collapse, but I kept pushing myself to go further. I instantly started looking for my little brother John. He had been missing for two weeks. He's only six! Who knows what could happen? I heard a sudden noise behind me and turned my head. I saw the weird kid from school, Lucas, walking behind me. His sandy blond hair was poking out from under his hood, and he had an extremely bleak expression. He stared at me, then looked to the ground when he saw me looking back. He was known for being weird, so I thought nothing of it and ran towards the forest.
I had been looking in the forest for the past two hours. I turned around. Lucas was standing there again, that same expression on his face.
"I know how to get your brother back, but you must come with me," he said.
I knew Lucas was weird, but this could be my only chance to get John. He saw the expression on my face and said,
        "Come on, Max!"
I decided to go with him. It may have been my only chance to get John back. I told him my decision, and he transformed into a fully grown man with a wand. He waved his wand, made a portal and then pushed me through it! I landed on a daisy field, and Lucas was next to me.
"You're an adult?" I asked him.
"It's my true form. I had to be a kid to blend in. I don't have time for any more details now! Just come with me,"
I was starting to regret my decision, but it was too late now. Lucas led me through the field and into a forest. We had been walking for a while, and I was getting tired. After hours of walking, I heard a noise in the bushes. An enormous wolf jumped out and bit my leg! It was super painful. Lucas aimed his wand at it and it became a butterfly. He had saved me. I now felt like I could trust him. We continued to walk an a thought suddenly appeared in my head,
"Lucas stop!" I exclaimed, "My parents will think I've gone missing too!"
"Oh you don't have to worry about that," he reassured me, "Time moves much faster here, minutes are days, they'll barely even have time to worry about you,"
We made it to a snow-peaked mountain by midnight, and Lucas said,
"There is a castle up there. I have a feeling your brother is there. If you want to find him we have to climb it,"
For three days, we climbed its treacherous peaks! I feared we would never reach the top. Finally, on the third day, we made it to the castle. It was a magnificent structure! This was the first time I had seen something like it. We walked through the doors into a massive throne room. I was horrified to see dead soldiers' bodies around the room. There was also the body of a man wearing a cape and crown. I looked up to the throne and saw a man who looked oddly familiar. He was holding a sword stained with blood. His clothes were stained too. I felt chills go down my spine just being near him. The man walked up to me and said,
"Max! I was wondering when you'd arrive. How great to see you!"
"Get away from me!" I yelled, "Who are you, and what did you do to all these poor people? Y-you're a lunatic!"

"Lunatic?" he asked me, "I don't know what you're talking about! It's just me, your little brother, John,"

I was spellbound staring at this crazy murderous man who claimed to be my brother. I mean it would make sense right? If seconds in our world are days here then he would've had a lot of time to age. But I didn't understand it. John was always the sweetest little boy, blowing bubbles, running around and making up silly stories, this man did look a lot like him, but there was no way.

"Y-you can't be!" I exclaimed, "John was a normal funny, cute 6-year-old!"

The man glared at me with a foul look on his face and a flicker of craziness in his eyes.

"Well I went into the forest one afternoon, and found a squirrel. As the curious boy I was, I followed it. He kept running away from me but I kept trailing it. After a long time of following it he turned around and yelled at me to leave him alone. Now I had just been chasing him for fun but after this there was no way I could leave him alone. I sneakily followed him to a small clearing in the woods where he jumped into a pond. I followed suit and then when I can to the surface I was in a land I had never seen before,"

I stared at him blankly. This sounded made up, it did sound like the type of thing John would do but it was so unbelievable! Although I had recently seen a wolf turn into a butterfly so what could I say?

"What happened then?" I asked him.

"Well I did what any little boy would do. I wandered around. I found a huge mountain and filled with excitement I climbed its treacherous peaks. I found a castle and the king adopted me told me I was his son and I could stay with him. We had a connection you see. At the age of 16 though he told me his wife was pregnant. I was first excited. He then told me the baby would be the new heir to the throne and that I was no longer worthy to rule the land. He had me removed from his castle and chucked to the forest. I had to survive by myself, and boy did I. So by the time I was 25 I returned to the castle. I had traveled the lands in all my time away, learnt ancient fighting skills for years since I was 18. When I returned to the palace I killed the boy who was meant to be king, and everyone else too. But then who turns up, my brother Max,"

I was dumbfounded. John had been through a lot but he was also filled with insanity, these people may have treated him unjustly but not all these soldiers and advisors and cleaners and everything didn't have to have their lives taken away. John was crazy and I wanted to leave there as fast as I could.
