He washed up and lay down on his bed, even though the studio he is living in now is not big, he still felt content and warm in it, it had been a long day for him, but he still couldn't rest, he got up unwillingly and sit down on a small table that also act as a dining table and started to scribble something on the empty sheets.
After a while of scribbling nonsense, he puts down his pencil and looks out at the window beside him, the moon is shining brightly and lonely because the sky is clear and dark. It had been two days since Colonel Lu came to visit, but he still couldn't get rid of this anxiety inside his heart.
'Then, is the person beside him someone who knows me too?'
He can't really remember a lot of things from when he was a child, except for a couple of important things, but if it is someone important, he certainly will have remembered or at least have an impression of him, but he can't seem to remember it.
The studio he rents is a little far from the center of the city, so it is a little quiet and peaceful, though he has to walk for half an hour to the market to buy things and to take the community bus to the cafe, it is worth it because the place he is renting right now is exceptionally beautiful and comfortable to live in.
The owner is an old married couple who live right beside the two-story house, so they would come every day to decorate the garden and sometimes deliver something delicious to the tenant, so it is very worth it even if it is a little far away.
Tomorrow is the moon cake festival, and even the old couple is going to get out tonight to take a look at the festival the city held, there are a lot of fun things to look at because Qing Le City, is the city of businesses, because of their great location that allows ships to directly dock at their port, you can find a lot of things that you can't find in another country because everything needs to get through here first, so all the trend will come here first before anything else.
He immediately sits up, and a sudden excitement lit up in his heart,
'Should I also go and take a look?' he quickly took his wallet and went down, walked right to the next house, and knocked on the door
"Grandma Li?"
He waited for a while but there was no answer, he became worried,
'Could it be they had gone', but suddenly he could hear footsteps and the door swung open, revealing an old lady wearing a floral dress smiling at him.
"Grandma Li"
"Eh.. Xiao Wei? Is there something that you need?", she asked
Shen Wei, "Oh, no. I was just wondering, could we go together to that festival that you said you would attend today?"
"Of course you can, it will be a waste for a gentleman like you to spend the night locked up inside the room, you should go and take a look", she giggled, Shen Wei didn't know if that remark was a compliment or sarcasm, but he just smile, he could go by his own to be honest, but since he is not familiar with the streets, it should be safer to go together since he doesn't feel like getting lost today.
They went their separate ways after they arrived and he couldn't help but brighten up, the festival here is really different compared to Europe, probably because he has missed this kind of atmosphere, he could seem to see the shadow when he was a child, when he was eager to taste a whole lot of new different food he has never seen but also shy to ask for it, so his mother is the one who has to ask him for every single thing when she saw his eyes sparkling.
But that warm feeling suddenly disappeared into thin air when he heard a familiar voice, he sighed, he doesn't really want to meet them again, so he tried to sneak away, but then he bumped into someone, a girl who rashly ran away from a group of man, she fell directly onto him, making the warm crepes (煎饼) she is holding fall all over to his face.
