At Su Yan Xuan's mansion
"I have never been to such a dark place before, it looks very haunted", Yang He Ran whispers to Shen Wei who is standing beside him, the both of them are standing in front of the gates, waiting for the guards to report it to the higher-ups. Even though the mansion is painted with white and the garden is properly taken care of, there is still a dark gloomy atmosphere in it that makes one feel uncomfortable,
"I got it, it must be because these people's faces are too creepy", Yang He Ran shuddered, Shen Wei quickly nudged him on the side with his elbow, telling him to be careful with his words.
They finally managed to get in and there stood a butler with a smiling face greeting at them,
"It is nice meeting you Young Master Yang and Young Master Jiang", hearing that call, Shen Wei immediately knew that right now, they were welcoming him as a part of the Jiang family not as himself, for they allowed him in because of that status of his.
He didn't mind, he is not someone narrow-minded, and he would use any resources he could as much as possible. The butler lead them to the second floor and knock on the door that seems to be an office.
When they got inside, the atmosphere was much more gloomy and intimidating compared to the whole house, the office was decorated with many antiques with a brownish interior, quite classic, just the dark and gloomy lamp made it as if this was a museum, not an office, a man in his early forties, quite build and looking as if he is in his early thirties sitting at the back of the desk with a glasses hanging on his sharp nose, his complexion doesn't seem to good, seems like he has been working hard for a couple of days.
He simply swift his hand telling them to sit down on the sofa and the both of them silently followed so. There are two types of people Shen Wei really finds uncomfortable, one who looks innocent but has a vicious heart, because of how good their impression is to others, they could easily play the scene as they like, everyone has a very deep impression towards their kindness, making it harder to break the impression off. The second one is the one who doesn't talk much because you won't know what they are thinking about, one movement and the tower will collapse.
After waiting for around five minutes and not seeing him having a plan to get up or even greet them, Yang He Ran is getting impatient and seems to be pissed,
"Mister Su, we came here to discuss the mansion you are applying for, we won't be able to discuss anything further if you don't want to cooperate", that man put down his pen, looked up at him, and simply said,
"I have changed my mind, you could go"
Yang He Ran's heart collapsed, but the next second he roared, he had never been treated like this before, Shen Wei quickly closed his mouth before he could curse,
"I am sorry Mister Su, but the moment you have been chosen, you have somewhat signed a part of the contract, you couldn't back off or you will have to pay for the penalty fee"
"I will pay", he replied flatly
Shen Wei pursed his mouth, 'Alright, this is going to be tough'
Shen Wei, "You seem to be interested in the rain lily flower, a symbol of happiness and a wish to be reborn"
His face suddenly turned dark. There is one thing about Su Yan Xuan, he dear his mother a lot, when he was a child, his father cheated, and his mother suffered a lot because he favored the second wife more compared to his mother. So growing up, he only knew his mother loved, he swore that he would make it to the top and let his mother be happy, which is what he does know, but fate is indeed cruel, since then, her mother was not willing to step out from the mansion anymore. Perhaps, the reason he also applies to the application is because he wanted to wash his hands and bring his mother back to live together, in a mansion her mother would love to live.
