A Rose Just As Sweet!

Chapter Four: Summer Chats and Embarrassing Brothers!

"Lani?" Alan asks and Leilani looks at him.

"Yeah?" Leilani asks.

"Ready?" Alan asks and Leilani looks down as he holds out his hand for her. She gently takes his hand. She wanted to look at him and tell him to never let go of her hand again.

"Yes." Leilani explains.

"I'll go first and you can follow after me." Alan explains as he climbs back into the vent.

Leilani climbs in after him and they head as fast as they can back the route that Alan had marked as his path. They manage to get into the control room with no problem and Alan climbs out before holding his hand out to her. Leilani's cheeks turn bright red as she takes his hand before climbing out.

"Ready for something cool?" Alan asks.

"Something cool?" Leilani asks. Alan presses a button on his wrist controls and his Hoverboard floats over to them. Alan climbs on and holds out his hand to her.

"Shall we fly to safety?" Alan asks. Leilani's eyes widened and she took his hand once more. He pulls her onto the Hoverboard.

"Hold on tightly." He tells her. She grabs onto his shoulders.

"Rescue complete, heading back to Thunderbird Three!" Alan announces as he and Leilani fly out of the control room.

"Great job, little brother." John explains.

"Have a look, Lani." Alan tells her and Leilani looks out and sees Thunderbird Three in front of them.

"Thunderbird Three." Leilani breathes out. Alan smiles as he hoverboards them back to Thunderbird Three. Leilani squeals as Alan tries to make the ride back to Thunderbird Three fun. Her squeaks turn into laughter as they hoverboard over to Thunderbird Three's cargo hold.

"Mom! Dad!" Leilani exclaims as they land and she sees her parents. She jumps off and runs over to them. She hugs her parents tightly. Alan smiles and watches Leilani with her parents. It made him miss his dad a little. He heads up to the pilot area so he could get them all back to Earth. Scott was waiting for him.

"Did you get her number?" Scott asks with a smile.

"What?" Alan asks as his face flushes red.

"Exactly what I said, Alan." Scott explains.

"Does it look like I got her number?" Alan asks as he returns his hoverboard to where it sat and moves to his seat.

"You should, you know, check up on her once in a while." Scott tells him.

"Why would I want to do that?" Alan asks, pretending not to know.

"Alan, John and I could hear you the entire time." Scott states, "Calling her your princess."

"H-HEY TH-THAT WAS A PRIVATE CONVERSATION!" Alan yells in embarrassment, "And I never said she was princess!"

"Would that make you the Beast if she's your beauty?" Scott teases.

"I'd say Alan is more like one of the seven dwarves." John teases.

"Shut it!" Alan exclaims in embarrassment and sighs. He pressed the button to talk to the cargo hold where everyone was sitting down and relaxing.

"Well, everyone, welcome aboard. Sorry it couldn't be under better circumstances. We'll be returning to earth. Unfortunately, we're going to have to leave your ship here for the GDF to pick up. If we take it back to Earth ourselves, it could become a fireball." Alan explains, "On a side note, you'll be getting home earlier than expected, so that'll be good." He stops pressing the button and Scott looks at him.
