Sonic's regret (angst)

Chapter 6: in eggmans layor

Eggman cackled triumphantly as he surveyed the captives before him. "Hahahaha! This piece of junk managed to snag Sonic's useless friends," he gloated, gesturing at the restrained figures.

" HEY!We are not useless," Knuckles interjected defiantly.

"Don't interrupt me," Eggman snapped, swiftly breaking Knuckles' arm. A cry of pain escaped Knuckles' lips as he doubled over.

"KNUCKLES !" Rouge exclaimed, her voice laced with concern.

Amy shouted to Eggman as she felt hate towards him for hurting her friend knuckles : Sonic's going to make sure you pay for this,"

"Hahahaha! He won't dare," Eggman scoffed, advancing menacingly.

"Oh, but I will. Just wait until I get out of here," Knuckles vowed through gritted teeth.

"You're going to regret this," Tails seethed, his determination undeterred.

With a cruel grin, Eggman seized the opportunity to inflict more suffering before sonic finds out their absence. He broke Tails' tails with a chilling threat hanging in the air.

Eggman then turned his attention to Rouge and Amy, offering them a twisted ultimatum.". "Don't worry, ladies. I won't hurt you MUCH if you agree to work for me."

"Never!" Rouge spat, her eyes blazing with defiance.

"Very well, if you insist," Eggman replied coldly.

With a cruel twist of his weapon, he electrocuted them both, sending them crashing to the ground unconscious.leaving Knuckles to shout in helpless fury."LEAVE THEM ALONE*

"Enough of your incessant chatter," Eggman snapped, his annoyance palpable as he glared at Knuckles. "Consider this your final warning. Now, I'll make you suffer. I'll end your little friend over here," he declared, brandishing a sharp knife menacingly towards Tails.

As Eggman moved to deliver the final blow to Tails, tails screamed" stay away from me." When suddenly Sonic appeared in a flash of speed, sacrificing himself to protect his friend.

"SONIC,NO!" Knuckles and Tails cried out in unison.

"It's okay, little bro," Sonic reassured Tails with a pained smile, even as blood stained his side.

As Amy and Rouge regained consciousness, they found themselves immobilized, unable to move.

"Sonic, don't forget our deal," Eggman reminded him with a sinister smirk.

"What deal?" Amy inquired, her voice tinged with confusion.

"I don't kn—" Rouge's words caught in her throat as she noticed the blood seeping from Sonic's wound.

But Sonic knew he couldn't falter now. With unwavering resolve, he freed his friends and led them to safety,*come on guys FASTER* he wanted his friends to get out of this misery forgetting the stab in his body

Sonic's heart ached as he looked back at his injured friends, blaming himself for their plight. "They're hurt because of me," he thought, his determination solidifying. "Eggman, you've gone too far," he declared, his voice tinged with fury.

Eggman's laughter was cut short as Sonic's fist connected with his face, sending him sprawling to the ground. With rage burning in his eyes, Sonic continued to rain blows upon Eggman until Knuckles' sharp voice broke through the haze of anger.

"Sonic, stop!"

Reluctantly, Sonic halted his assault, allowing Eggman to plead for mercy. "Please, let me live. I won't tell anyone, I promise, please."

Sonic then got back his consciousness as he stared on his bloody hands for the third time this week. After starting at his bloody hands in a while he got up to get out of eggmans layor

Sonic then gathered Amy and Tails, his body stained with blood, while Knuckles, despite his own injuries, lifted Rouge with his one good arm. Together, they finally made their way home.
