"What the hell?!"

Vance froze as they still held onto each other, panicking as they stared at the man who walked in. Shit, Vance thought, not only that they were caught, but that it was also by Bruce's baseball coach. "Heyyyy...coach," Bruce awkwardly spoke, his hands still on Vance's biceps, Vance's hands on Bruce's hips.

"Just..." The coach fell silent as he sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Hopper get back to lunch," he said, giving Vance a shooing motion. Vance nodded slowly, backing off of Bruce before hurrying off. "The hell was that?" He asked sternly.

Bruce started to panic, "don't tell my parents, please!"

"I'm not mad, kid," The man shook his head, placing a hand on Bruce's shoulder. "I'm just confused. Why him? What about your girlfriend? This just feels so..out of nowhere," he sighed, shaking his head.

"Georgia...actually cheated on me, multiple times," Bruce explained awkward, rubbing the back of his neck. "Plus, I just...have a connection with Vance," he mumbled, feeling his face warm, "kinda like how I have a connection with baseball, or my connection with violin."

The baseball coach nodded with a smile, patting Bruce's shoulder. "Speaking of violin," the coach changed the subject, "you've got a concert tonight, don't you?"

Wow. Bruce had almost forgot about his concert. The whole Vance thing had consumed his thoughts that week and he practically forgot about his own concert, which was that night. "Oh, yeah," he mumbled, a small sigh escaping his lips after.

"Nice," his coach grinned.

That night Bruce played his violin, better than he had before, but that's what improvement was. He was always gonna be better than he was months ago. As he played he glanced into the crowd, seeing Vance in the front row with a smile. He smiled back at the blond, continuing to play.

Life was good, really good. Bruce felt happier than he ever had before. Even if his family wasn't there to watch, and his friends didn't like Vance, he was happy. And Vance was happy as well. It didn't matter if he didn't have friends, or if he still lived with his dad, he had Bruce. Bruce was all he wanted and needed.

After the concert Bruce and Vance snuck to the back of the school, which was obviously vacant, but also super dark. Thankfully, the moon lit up both of their faces. "The concert was great," Vance told him in a sweet tone. He placed his hands on Bruce's hips, pulling him close.

"Thanks," Bruce giggled, leaning close and kissing Vance softly. "I love you," he muttered quietly as he backed off.

"I love you too," Vance told him, burying his face in Bruce's neck. For a moment it was silent between the two, just both of them enjoying each others presence, but soon Vance began to speak. "I'm so happy I'm here with you," he whispered, "you're the best person I've ever met. And I'll only pick you."
