Despite being on their last day off, Isagi still couldn't keep himself sane around Hiori. The more awake he became during the day, the more guilt surrounded him. It even led to them not having sex during the whole weekend because Isagi feared that if he opened his eyes, he would see Kaiser instead. Of course, there were still romantic advances between the two in their day, but it didn't go past making out. Isagi assumed that Hiori probably knew something was wrong but was only waiting for him to speak up. He couldn't.

"Come on now, Yo-chan, we need to go back to work," Hiori said as he wore his jacket. He looks at Isagi, who is lazily lying down on the bed.

"Ugh, I don't wanna~" Groans the other. Hiori rolled his eyes, ' And I thought I was the lazy one...'

"Shut up, let's go," He says before hoisting Isagi on his shoulder and walking out the door.

Hiori hums as he makes small circles with his palm against Isagi's thigh. Isagi, sitting on his lap, drapes his arms around the other's shoulder and buries his face in his neck. Meanwhile, Hiori keeps his other hand busy, fiddling with the remote as he studies their last game from the monitoring room.

It's the little moments like this that Isagi appreciated, taking comfort in each other's silent company. It was the best way for them to kill time while waiting for the other teammates to arrive at the building for practice.

Isagi could pretend that everything was normal. That everything was at peace.

Isagi felt content until the door swung open, "Here you are, Hiori, They've been looking– Oh."

Isagi's breath hitched hearing that familiar voice, his heart aching as if it were a reflex.

Hiori noted how Isagi's heartbeat drummed faster against his chest before turning around slightly, "At least learn how to knock. What's up?"

Kaiser raised an eyebrow and leaned against the doorframe with his arms crossed. He kept his emotionless expression as he looked at the top of Isagi's head buried in Hiori's neck, "Ego called you for running statistical analyses, I dunno." Isagi's stomach churned at Kaiser's nonchalant.

Hiori groaned, "Alright. I'll go to the restroom first."

Isagi shivered when Hiori lightly tapped on his thigh, compelling him to get off his lap as Hiori was supposed to leave the room. Isagi looked at him almost pleadingly, holding onto the end of one of his sleeves.

A part of Hiori did not want to get up, but he had no choice but to leave his boyfriend. He caresses his thumb on Isagi's small waist, "You know how Ego-san is. I'll be right back. Wait here." Hiori said, kissing the side of Isagi's face.

Isagi stood up, allowing him to leave before sitting back on the floor. He huffs, a little bit disappointed, as he watches Hiori's retreating back. Isagi turned around to face the screen and fiddled with the remote nervously, keeping himself busy and pretending that there was no other person with him inside the room.

"I didn't know you would be here, Yoichi~"

Isagi gasped and almost dropped his phone when he heard Kaiser's deep voice a little too close to his ear, wondering when he got so close.
