It was 11:15, and everyone was in the assembly hall, feeling tense about what was going to happen next.

Jun-hee stood in the center and said, "I called this meeting not to decide whom we should vote for, but to give up on voting."

"Give up on voting? Are you sure?" Someone questioned.

"I second that. We should keep our phones." Rin suggested. The rules didn't mention what would happen if they didn't vote. But then again, the rules also didn't say whether they could leave or not, and they found out the hard way that they couldn't.

"And do what? Watch as everyone dies?" Jeong-won retorted. Seemed like she had a bone to pick with Rin.

Rin's patience snapped. "That's the game, isn't it? It's either you die or we vote out the mafia before they kill someone. We have to play by the rules."

"What's wrong with you? Would you really sacrifice one of us if they were the mafia?" Eun-ah's voice rose with frustration.

"Sorry, Eun-ah, but in this situation, I do not give a fuck. I'm not risking everyone's life just to save the one who's going around killing people." Rin replied bluntly.

"Let's try this, okay? It might work."

Na-hee's voice trembled as she spoke up, "Rin, would you really vote for me if I were the mafia?"

Rin hesitated, unsure how to respond to her best friend's question. "Why are you asking me that?"

Jun-hee chimed in, "If we vote, one person is guaranteed to die. But if we don't, we'll all survive."

"You're making it sound too simple. Do you think whoever created this game didn't consider that? They've already trapped us here with boundaries, and we can't even delete the game to escape," Rin pointed out.

"It's worth a try." Yeon-seo chimed in softly.

"But what if we agree not to vote, and someone secretly does? What then?" Mi-na interjected.

"She's got a point. How can we trust each other?" Ji-soo questioned.

"We should trust each other. We can collect all our phones so no one can vote." Jun-hee suggested.

"I'm not handing over my phone. I don't trust this." Rin muttered to Kyung-jun, keeping her voice low. Seated beside him, arms crossed, she was uneasy about the plan to abstain from voting. While she understood the need to try, she feared the consequences if it failed more than the plan itself.

"I've got an idea. Give me your phone." Kyung-jun whispered back. Rin silently passed him her phone, and he rose from his seat and left.

"He's right. If we collect our phones, no one can vote. That'll work." Eun-ah agreed.

"But who's going to keep the phones? The person in charge might change their mind." Jisoo pointed out.

"Let's keep them in the center for everyone to see." Yeon-seo suggested.

"Yes. We can all watch together."
