"Morning has come."

Rin gradually awakened and felt Kyung-jun's arm cradling her head, preventing it from hitting the floor where they had fallen asleep. Gently, she opened her eyes and met Kyung-jun's sleepy gaze. She offered a faint smile before rising to her feet, surveying the scene around her.

The sight that greeted her was haunting. Lifeless bodies layed scattered across the floor, a chilling reminder of the events that had transpired last night. Nearby, Mi-na's voice trembled as she called out to Joo-young, her desperation evident as she tried to rouse her friend.

Rin knelt beside Joo-young, gently removing the cloth covering her face. Joo-young's pallid complexion spoke volumes, as if the life had been drained from her. It was hard to believe she was gone; just last night she was alive. This had to be the doing of the mafia.

Suddenly, the alarm blared, piercing the heavy silence, signaling Joo-young's demise.

"During the night, Lee Joo-young was executed by Mafia. Lee Joo-young was a citizen."

"All participants, identify the mafia and begin to vote."

Mi-na rose to her feet, striding towards Jun-hee and pushing him back a step. "I told you I wouldn't hand in my phone!"

"I said I didn't want to!" She seized Jun-hee by the collar, who remained unresponsive as she vented her anger.

"If we hadn't turned in our phones, we wouldn't have slept here. And they wouldn't have died. You killed them all, Jun-hee!"

"Stop it," So-mi intervened, pushing Mi-na away from Jun-hee.

"If only we'd voted sooner, then they wouldn't have died." Na-hee sobbed.

"They're not wrong. We survived by pure luck," Ji-soo agreed before turning towards Jun-hee, "You and Go Kyung-jun, what'll you do about it now?!"

"Did I suggest we hand them in?" Kyung-jun retorted, then turned to Jun-hee. "Kim Jun-hee, you scumbag, you said we just had to give up our phones!"

"This happened because of you. It's on you," Kyung-jun accused.

Jun-hee remained silent before muttering a small "I'm sorry," then walked away. Rin couldn't deny feeling suspicious of Jun-hee. As the class president, it was his duty to ensure everyone's safety, which might have influenced his decision. However, that single choice led to multiple deaths, making it hard not to question his motives.

"Whatever. The class president got us into this. Let's vote for him today," Kyung-jun declared, prompting Rin to raise her brows at his hasty decision. She wanted to pull him aside and scold him for making such a significant choice without thinking it through. What if Jun-hee turned out not to be the mafia, and his earlier choice was merely a coincidence?

"You said it was a good idea and took everyone's phones. Why change your tune now?" Jeong-won's logic struck Rin, though she wouldn't readily admit it. Kyung-jun was her boyfriend, albeit an unreliable and deceitful classmate.
