Minx POV:
We had gotten to the docks of Queens. The walk has left us exhausted so I told everyone to get some sleep as the sun had gone down. Everyone walks to their beds, and both me and Nova go into my bedroom.
"What now?" Nova says quietly as she looks at me.
"Don't know... Tomorrow I'm thinking of giving the newsies a free day.." I say as I lay on my back on the bed and I stare at the ceiling.
"You're thinking about him..?" Nova says. I don't say anything.
"Look.. I think you'll see him again very soon... It's not forever you'll de without seeing him..." Nova says as she sits down on the bed with me.
"I know... but when will I see him again..?" I say as my voice slightly cracks.
"Soon.." Nova says as she lays next to me, staring up at the ceiling.
"How about Race..?" I say as I turn my head to look at her.
"We were both sad that I was coming back home... so he gave me a necklace that says his name.." Nova says as she holds the necklace she has around her neck.
"I'm sorry, Nova.. but you could've stayed with him if you wanted too, I would've been fine with it" I say as I look at her.
"No... I have to stay with my family.. and plus I can't leave you alone... Without me you'll do something bad" Nova says with a small laugh. I giggle.
"You're right... You're my best friend... I'll be nothing without you, Nova" I say.
"Alright.. I'll leave you to sleep Goodnight, Minx.." Nova says as she heads for the door.
"Night, Nova" I say as she walks out the door. I lay still on my bed with my eyes closed for the sleep to consume me. The only thing on my mind was him...
