IN REAL LIFE
Brooklyn NY, Blunt-Krasinski Home
"𝐃𝐎 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆?"
Her mother asks, hovering around Clara like a mother hen.
"I'm sure mom, but would you pass me that stack of sweats?" Emily obliges quickly and Clara takes them with a fleeting smile. As much as she reassures her mom, Clara is very much secretly panicking.
It's June 2nd; the day that Clara ships out to Vancouver Canada for the foreseeable future. She's catching a flight by herself, which she isn't new to, just she wishes that she could go with Leah and Dior. Turns out other people have families to say goodbye to as well🙄.
Greg(the casting director and one of the producers) wants them there a week before training starts to get settled in and know everyone. And while the whole new environment might make her a bit anxious, the thing she's most worried about is packing everything into her suitcase.
"Do you want to bring these too sweetheart. ?" Her mom calls, holding up Clara's Red(Taylor's Version) vinyls. Clara shakes her head. "What about this?" This time it's a dress from LoveShackFancy.
"Mom," she laughs, "i don't think we're going to be going anywhere fancy."
"You never know darling." Emily folds the dress carefully into the suitcase she was packing up.
They work in tandem for a few more minutes(in which Clara has to decide between her black Tasmans and Tasman Crafted Regenerates, which is fyi not a fun decision), before her dad stands by the doorway.
"Need uh, any help?"
They both stare at him.
"Cool cool. I'll just sit here then."
An hour passes(John left after 10 minutes) until Clara is 70% sure she has everything she could possibly need(which is a huge improvement honestly). "Why do I feel nervous, momma?" She says suddenly, facing her mom with a terrified expression.
Emily pauses in organizing Clara's jewelry case and moves over to her. "Because love, this is something entirely unknown for you. You are an actress on her first big role. And you're doing it without me and your father right by you." Emily presses a kiss to her daughter's forehead. "You're going to do marvelous sweetheart."
Clara smiles, a real one. "Thanks mom, I love you."
