Cover Me (A Seungin AU fanfic)

Chapter 8

Jeongin woke up by the sound of Yuri singing along to some music in the kitchen, Seungmin was still sleeping beside him. He carefully untangled himself from Seungmin without waking him up before he threw on an oversized hoodie he found and left the bedroom. 
Yuri was making coffee when she felt a presence, she turned around and saw Jeongin shyly peeking into the kitchen, "Good morning, you want some coffee too?" she asked with a bright smile and Jeongin nodded, "Milk, sugar or just normal?" she asked, "M-Milk," he replied quietly. Soon she handed him the coffee and got him to join her in the living room, "How are you feeling?" she asked sipping on the coffee she made for herself. "I'm okay, it's just new," he said and she smiled, "That is understandable but don't worry you're safe here," she said and he smiled shyly back at her. Soon Seungmin woke up as well and joined them once he had made himself a coffee too, "Did you sleep well?" he asked Jeongin and kissed his forehead, "Yea, I did," Jeongin said with a slight blush on his cheeks.
"I'll leave you two in peace now I need to wake up Mr I like my bed and then we'll go to work," Yuri said and stood up, Seungmin laughed and took another sip of his coffee. Soon Yuri and Hyunjin left for work and Seungmin made proper breakfast for himself and Jeongin while the younger took a shower. 

"What's your job?" Jeongin asked while they ate their breakfast, "I work with Hyunjin at a clothing store and Yuri is a hairdresser so we get friend prices at that salon," Seungmin said, "That's cool," Jeongin said and smiled weakly, "What would you like to work with?" Seungmin asked him, "I don't know preferably something where I don't have to interact a lot with people," Jeongin said looking at his food. After they had eaten Seungmin took out his laptop and they started looking at possible jobs for Jeongin, while they were looking Hyunjin called, "What's up Jinnie?" Seungmin asked into his phone and handed the laptop to Jeongin so he could continue to look. "The boss is asking about Innie," Hyunjin said, "Why?" Seungmin asked confused, "Well apparently we need a staff for the back office to work with online orders and packing and such," Hyunjin said and Seungmin looked at Jeongin, "I'll talk to him about it and then we'll come by work later depending on what he says," Seungmin said and Hyunjin agreed to that and they hung up. "Baby I might have a job for you where the only way you'll interact with people are via email," Seungmin said and Jeongin looked at him and Seungmin told him what Hyunjin said, "Will that mean I'm in the same place as you?" Jeongin asked and Seungmin nodded, "You'll just be in the back of the store and that means you can also ask us for help if there's a lot of orders and such," Seungmin said and Jeongin smiled.

Jeongin accepted the job offer and after resting a little Seungmin took him to the store with the other car since Hyunjin had taken one of the two. The boss was very happy to see Seungmin again and made sure he was doing okay before they took Jeongin around the back of the store and showed him the office and the shelves from which he'd get the wares to pack. 
"You can start on Monday, and Seungmin, I want you back on Monday as well so rest and enjoy some days until then," the boss said and they both accepted so after Jeongin had signed a contract they went home. "Well that went smoothly," Seungmin laughed as he parked the car at home, "Well that's something going smoothly for a worthless piece of shit such as yourself," a voice said and Seungmin told Jeongin to stay in the car, "What do you want?" Seungmin asked the owner of the voice who was his ex. "I want you to take me back, you seem way too happy for my taste," the ex said and Seungmin shook his head, "You're never coming back into my life," Seungmin said which earned him a slap before he was pressed against the car. His ex started to touch him in very inappropriate ways as well as beating him if he struggled, tears streamed down Seungmins' face, "See you're no match for me and you will never be," the venomous voice whispered in his ear. Jeongin was watching the scene unfold in fear and called Hyunjin who arrived just in time before it could escalate too far, "Call the cops," Hyunjin mouthed to Jeongin as he pulled the ex away from Seungmin. Soon Seungmins' ex was taken away by cops and Jeongin rushed to hold his boyfriend while telling another cop exactly what he saw, "Rest easy we won't let this guy close to any of you again," the cop said and after Jeongin told her that they just spent a long time at the hospital she offered to call a doctor to their house just for a checkup on Seungmin which they accepted.

Jeongin led the way while the female cop and Hyunjin supported Seungmin up to the apartment, she then called a doctor who arrived, "Here take my card so you can call if you need cops," she said before leaving them in the doctors' care. Jeongin waited outside the bedroom with Hyunjin while the doctor did a checkup on Seungmin, "He's okay just a few bruises, seems you stopped it in the nick of time," the doctor told Hyunjin as he exited the bedroom, they got the doctors' card too. "I'll follow you out I need to go back to work anyway," Hyunjin told the doctor who nodded and they both watched as Jeongin ran into the bedroom where Seungmin was. Seungmin was shaking and crying in complete shock, pain and panic, Jeongins' heart broke at the sight he walked over to the bed and sat against the headboard before he pulled the older into his chest. "Minnie, you're safe, everything is okay," Jeongin whispered keeping his voice as steady as possible, Seungmin was hugging himself and looked so small in that moment. Jeongin sat there just holding Seungmin close even after Seungmin had calmed down, "Here," Jeongin said and gave Seungmin one of the emergency pills he got from the hospital, Seungmin swallowed the pill with some water since he always kept some by the bed. 
Jeongin pulled the blanket over Seungmin and soon the older fell asleep against his boyfriends' chest.
