Chapter 1 Part 2 : Court Trial ⁉️

Also , I realise Lute is sometimes OOC in the previous parts. I'll try to make her more in character . My apologies

Lute's POV :

I woke up from my unconciousness. It appeared that I was in a investigation room. My hand were shut tight with angel handcuffs connecting to my amputated arm , fully secured around my wrist. I woke up to see the head chief.

There was just a single semi-flush mount lamp on the ceiling , slighty flickering. The areas that wasn't affected by the light was completely pitch black. I was sitting a chair facing opposite at the head chief.

" Greetings, Miss Lute. It seems as you were accused of choking a important frontline worker, a doctor to put it simply. Now ,I want you to answer all the given questions that I'll be asking. Please be honest otherwise your penalty may be charged higher. " The head chief told me about what was going to happen.

I nodded. I understood his policy and attempt to prove my innocence.

" Proceed , sir. " I told.

" Alright. So, how would you describe the victim's condition during that scene ? Lets just say like ... what did he say? how was the severity ? " The head chief tried to specifically describe the question to me.

" Well, the person seems to be choked by a mysterious entity . He kept grabbing onto his neck , both sides, suffocating. Not to mention , I thinked that he was seeing hallucinations and delusions right infront of his eyes. I couldn't see it. As he fell down , he drop a set of acetaminophen containing 20 tablets per set. Perhaps , a certain soul might had an special ability to choked people to death. ( this doesnt make sense 😨 ) " I described it verbosely.

He then took all the details down on his mind. He looked like as if he was trying to connect all the puzzle pieces together in his head.

" Alright. Second question , is there any security cameras or safety alarms nearby? "

" They may be hidden but I don't see it anywhere in the hospital. From what I know , most of the areas in Heaven do have security cameras. Some may be noticable , some may be invisible. I can't give an objective answer for this one. " I recalled all of my experiences and shared it with the head chief.

" Okay. You are quite aware of your surroundings , aren't you? Regardless if you were in a sufferable headache or not. " The head chief said.

" Oh. Yeah . I naturally keep track of my surroundings for many purposes. Mostly for safety , though " I exclaimed.

" Ok , one last question. Have you heard any other crime scenes that might happen in the same time as this crime scene? We are asking this because it might involved multiple people in the murder plan. " The head chief asked.

" No. I didn't hear any screams , or anything suspicious nearby . It is most likely one person who only killed him." I stated.

He took down every detail that I had to say. He then nodded me with a slight smile.

" Thanks , Miss Lute. After 2 days, you will be entering the courtroom for futher investigation and finalising the case and charges. You may now be directed back to your cell. " The head chief politely instructed.
