Boss's POV :

I looked at an old telephone right beside my office desk. It was slightly worn out but it is still functionable.I dialed in the number and called a certain organisation.

* Ringing *

" Hello, this is the Life&Soul Department.. Oh ! "

It seems that the employee was familiar with my phone number.

" What a coincedence ! I believe you are the boss  from that well-known research institution . Good to meet you ! Well, how may I help you , madam ?" The employee greeted me with delight.

" May I speak to your boss ? " I asked the employee.

" Well , he is currently busy. He has a lot of issues to attend to. But if you really want to speak to him now , I can call him from his office. " The employee told me .

" Please do call him now. It is quite urgent. "

" Will do , madam ! Please hold the call for a moment. "

I twirled my hair while waiting for the employee to tell the boss. I looked outside the window to enjoy the scenery of the city.
After a few minutes , the boss of the department  joined in the call.

" Ah, greetings ! My apologies , I am quite busy at the moment. Please make this quick. " 

" May I have a meeting with you tomorrow evening? It will be held at your department "

" Hold up. Let me check my calender....
Oh ! It seems like I am free at tomorrow evening .  It will start at 5:45pm at earliest.  "

" Okay . I'll be there early "

" Alright. See you there. "

He then hang up the call. I exit from the office and checked on my staffs. They seem to be keeping all of their equiqments in a safe, secured space. The supervisor then approached me.

" Boss, I have already told them to pause their on-going projects. Is there any futher instructions you like me to do , boss? " The supervisor asked.

" Not now. However , I'll need you to temporarily watch over this whole place because I am going to have a meeting with the boss from the Life&Soul Department tomorrow evening. The project manager will come along with me too.

I trust you with this . Don't screw up. "

" When are you coming back? " The supervisor asked.

" Hmmm, maybe around 7pm but I'll be back as early as possible. "

" Alright. I'll make sure everything goes well , boss. "

The supervisor then continued their normal duties. I then returned to my office.

I drew the curtains . I looked outside the window to see the luminous moon , as the light is reflected by the sun. My eyes fixated at the moon. I smiled brightly.
