Fiona in Charge

Cinnamon, Snickers, and Tang are brought into the entrance of the mine by the large fungal guards. The little green Boomer follows closely behind them, like she is part of their team. Snickers notices the Fungal guard next to him is continuously checking his phone. He begins formulating a plan of escape as Cinnamon is brought before Fiona, who has taken charge of this mission and already proven she is quite the strategic player. "Hello, Princess." Fiona says sharply. "I was under the impression you already gained a Star Shard here, why don't you run along and let us get this one from the mine, hhhmmm?" Cinnamon sassily puts her hands on her hips. "Fiona, you've sure been busy. I should've expected you to be leading this project. It was way too competent to have been led by Iggy and Spike!" Iggy angrily throws his arms up as Spike crosses his, Fiona smiles and presses her chest against Cinnamon's. "Flattery will get you nowhere, Princess. Now, I don't expect you to hand over the pieces you have collected, but I will offer you this chance to leave without a fuss if you do it now." Fiona says. Cinnamon raises her eyebrow. "Tempting, but there is one thing that we need from you first." Tang jumps up behind Cinnamon. "Where is my Pah D?" The large gorilla, Skapelli, walks up behind Fiona. "You! You and your little brat friends have been nothing but a thorn in my side since this morning. You all have earned a good whipping, and I am just the guy to do it!" Fiona puts her hand up, stopping him. "Oh please, you couldn't defeat that chubby Jerboa on your own." Snickers looks with an offended expression. "Hhhheeeeeeeyyyyyyyy..." he says. "About Tang's grandfather?" Cinnamon demands. Fiona sternly replies. "The Old man is working on a... let us say, special project for us. This cavern holds many more secrets than just the Crystal Fairies. He will be free to go once we have the Star Shard and has finished his project. Until then, he will remain with us." Tang attempts to stand up to Fiona, but Cinnamon holds her back. "Pah D will never let you take the Fairies, protecting them has been his life's work!" Fiona leans in close to Tang's face. "I suppose there is no harm in telling you about "the Creature.". Cinnamon and Tang look at each other and say. "The Creature?" Fiona gets a sinister look on her face. "Yes, while Skapelli's men were digging for the Crystal Fairies, they stumbled upon the mummified remains of a once great Sky Serpent. Though it was not all intact, we believe your grandfather has the knowledge of both technology and Alchemy to revive the beast." Cinnamon's eyebrows drop and an angry expression comes over her face. "And just what would Caligari need a reanimate Sky Serpent for?" Fiona breast to breast with Cinnamon again. "The creature would serve our purposes, that is all you need to know, Princess." Cinn continues. "And what makes you think a great beast like that would serve you? The stories say that no one could control the ancient ones. I actually remember that from history class!" Fiona smiles. "It will serve us thanks to Dr. D. He is reanimating it, to be loyal to us!" Tang steps up. "Pah D would never hurt a creature's brain like that!" Fiona laughs but immediately turns more stern. "He doesn't have a choice." She says with authority.
The green Boomer nudges Snickers. "I'm Tess, by the way." She says. As Snickers awkwardly says. "Hi Tess." She excitedly wiggles. "Your name is Snickers, huh? I heard the fat dragon call you that!" Snickers puts his hands on his waist. "Hey! Don't call her that?" Tess' eyes widened. "Oh! Sorry! I heard the 'Chonky' Dragon call you that!" Snickers shakes his head. "So what's the plan Captain?" Tess asks. Snickers, looks at her, a bit confused. "Wait, you are on our side now?" Tess' eyes squint in excitement. "Uh-huh! They have taken me and all of my Boomer friends hostage and are making us blow up the rocks so they can dig deeper into the mine. You all look like adventurers, I hoped you all would help me!" Snickers nods his head. "Of course we will, but right now we need a good distraction."
As Snickers says that, he has no idea that Wysteria and Glimmer are on the rocky cliff side just above them. "Wyst, Look!" Glimmer quietly says. Wysteria looks at their captured friends. "Oh no! We have to do something? But what can we do?" Wyst feels the waistband of her pants tighten as she is lifted by them, Glimmer is grabbed up by her jacket by a Fungal guard. "What do we gots here? Snoopers?" The Guard says. Wyst quickly says. "No, No, No! We are from..." Glimmer interjects. "The HR department!" Wyst continues. "Yes, the PR depot, and we are here to make sure this mine is up to safety standards..." she squints her eyes intently. "Where are your safety glasses?" She asks. The guard swallows hard and begins to sweat. "I uh... I didn't know you were coming today..." he says now, very nervous. "Oh, so you would've had the proper PPE if you knew we were coming, is that it?" Glimmer says with a disappointed tone. "I uh... just wait here, I'll go get a pair, just please, please don't tell the Boss!" The Guard sets the girls down and starts to hurry off to get a pair of Safety Glasses. Wysteria and Glimmer hip bump in celebration that their clever idea worked, until the guard stops and slowly turns around to face them again. "Wait a second... where are your safety glasses!?" Wyst and Glimmer look at each other in a panic as the guard charges for them! He unleashes a strange screech as he runs for them at full sprint, Glimmer and Wyst side step him as he stumbles and falls over the railing! As he falls he pulls a pair of safety glasses out of his pocket and puts them on. Everyone turns as they see him falling, the guard closest to Snickers starts videoing his falling friend. Snickers takes this opportunity to grab the zapper from him and begins blasting! Fiona starts to bark an order, but is met instead by a powerful punch from Cinnamon! Tang sweeps the legs out from under a guard as Tess lunges herself into a group of other guards like a bowling ball! Iggy and Spike duck, dodging blasts from Snickers zapper. "It looks like a retreat is in order!" Iggy says. "In order, a retreat!" Says Spike. As the two run down one of the mine's many tunnels, Totaco rushes to catch up to them yelling. "WAIT FOR ME! WAIT FOR ME!" Fiona grabs a handful of Cinnamon's hair, the two then wrestle around, each struggling to get the upper hand. Wysteria uses her hair to make a long vine that her and Glimmer use to get to the lower level to assist their friends. They don't realize that where they are standing is a very dangerous place! Cinnamon accidentally bumps a lever with her butt that turns a large rock crusher on! Wyst and Glimmer run as fast as they can to reach the gate to get off the crusher's conveyor belt, as they do, they see the Fungal who fell, with his safety glasses still on, go down the conveyor and into the rock crusher. Wysteria and Glimmer both make grossed out expressions, until Wyst says. "He had lots of guts...ahee!" She says while making an extremely awkward smile.
