Out from the Cold

A portal flickers open, the connection from one side to the other isn't clear. Three small figures fall from the portal's opening. Glimmer, plops down onto a surprisingly soft surface. She stands and shakes off the fall only to be squashed by Wysteria who falls out next, Tess then falls bouncing off of Wystetia's butt. "Brrrrr...you okay G-G-Glimmer?" Wysteria says as she helps Glimmer up. "Yeah, I'm fine but... it is so cold here!" Their bracelets thankfully kick in, magically dressing them in warm clothes. Wysteria adjusts the hat it placed on her head and looks at Tess. "Oh No! Tess, let me see if this thing can send me warm clothes for you?!" Tess simply responds. "I am immune to the cold." Glimmer angrily says. "Well, we are NOT! Wyst, we have to find shelter quickly!" Wysteria looks at her hair, which is starting to draw up and wrinkle. "No Kidding, my hair is already starting to wilt." Tess looks around, there is nothing but white any direction they look, and as the wind howls through, neither Wysteria or Glimmer's watch is able to find enough signal to provide them with a map. "Wait, are those trees?" Tess asks, looking way off in the distance. "If you think you see anything, we should start that way. What else can we do?" The trio makes their way through the snow and ice. The walk truly wasn't that far, but the cold was wreaking havoc on poor Wyst and Glimmer, being born of warm climate flora, the cold is far more effective on them. They did okay at the Frozen Ocean Casino, but the crystal casino was heated, here it is nothing but ice and snow. After what felt like ages, they are nearly at the tree line of a small wooded area. "C'mon guys, we get there and I can start a fire!" Tess says, only to hear a shriek from Glimmer. "Tess! Tess!" She looks to see Wysteria collapsed in the snow. Tess runs to Glimmer's aid, Wysteria lay there, her whole body shaking. Tess and Glimmer waste no time, they lift the now purple shaded Wysteria up and carry her to the woods. Tess can tell that Glimmer isn't in much better shape. They get under the trees, only for Glimmer to collapse as well. "OH! C'mon new buddies, hang in there a little longer until I can get a fire built!" Tess frantically gathers branches and leaves from the trees, they are wet, but what choice does she have? Using her hair fuse, she is able to get a fire started after several attempts. She pulls Wysteria and Glimmer close, but not too close. "What do I do!? I can't leave them, what if the fire goes out? But if I don't get help soon, there won't be any helping them!" Tess does the best she can to make them a small shelter, she then feeds the fire a bit more. She steps out of the shelter, and starts walking, where is she going? She doesn't even know, but it's the only chance they have. Tess hurries through the snow, looking for any signs of life. As she runs, she notices something moving on an icy ledge above her. "EXCUSE ME! MY FRIENDS NEED HELP! PLEASE!" A large Ice troll leaps down from the ledge, he angrily snatches her up and attempts to eat her! "Just a minute, I don't have time for this!" She says as she detonates on the troll. As she rematerialized, she realizes that only angered the troll, who unleashes a mighty roar! "I really don't have time for a battle, but I could always stick my friends inside your remains to keep them warm a bit longer." She says readying herself for a fight. A bolt of lightning like energy flies through the air, connecting with the troll causing him to explode! Tess looks around at all the troll chunks and calmly says. "Ew... and I thought they smelled bad on the outside." A sinister cloaked figure slowly approaches her, walking stick still beaming with electricity.
