You know who else is hot though-"You sat and listened to the gossip the girls in your class were engaging in and couldn't help but grimace. What makes them think they can just judge people like that?You took an instant disliking to the girls- even though you didn't know the boys they were gossiping about. Still, speaking about anyone like that is a shitty thing to do.People don't have to fit a perfect mould or a 'great' personality just to be respected.You had heard of the people they were talking about- Ushijima was the volleyball captain and basically lived in the school gym, Goshiki fell into a bowl of spaghetti on his first day of school and Tendou was unfortunately well known as this 'monster' that those girls referenced.You'd figured it was some middle school nickname that you weren't aware of but hearing the girl confirm that it wasn't necessarily a nickname- just a name bullies used to get to him- made you a little disheartened.You couldn't see why people took so strongly against him- sure, he seemed a little strange, but he also seemed harmless. Kinda like one of those cats that just slowly pushes things over- mishchzevious but lovable.So, when you left the classroom and saw the tall red head wandering around with the infamous Ushijima that had been labelled 'serious and dumb' you went out of your way to show them both your biggest smile- even if they didn't notice.Tendou noticed. What the hell? Why is she smiling at me? I don't know her... Is she planning something? Does she know Ushiwaka?

He stuck the tip of his tongue out of his mouth in frustration.

If it were anyone else- they would've let it go. So what if someone smiled at you? People do that all the time.Tendou couldn't get over it though. If Ushiwaka knew who she was then he probably would have said hello... Who is she? What does she want?People had smiled at him before- some people had even greeted him as he walked by but he never really thought anything of it.

But this seemed kinda...obvious- like you were specifically targeting him and him alone.————————————The next day, when you smiled up at the tall boy, he smiled back. UshiWaka isn't here today. She's smiling for me. Why?Yet again, he walked around the school puzzled by the action.Did you want to speak to him about something?Did you smile at everyone like that?Why did you start smiling at him all of a sudden? He was just curious.And confused.He appreciated the smile- infact he quite enjoyed watching you make a conscious effort to smile for him- even if he didn't know why you were doing it.—————————— (F/n) (l/n), huh?It only seemed right that he learned your name. He's scoured the social media of other students in the school, searching and searching for you. He tried to note down any mutual friends you may have had but he came up short, instead just settling for finding your account- which he eventually did. You save a smile for me and I'll save your name in my memory.He started to look forward to seeing you everyday- and on the days that he'd run into you a few times he'd purposefully make eye contact just to see if you'd still smile.You did. Every. Single. Time. I've locked eyes with her like 20 times today and she smiled every single time- She must be doing it on purpose. It's not just a friendly smile for everyone- she's saving this smile for me.——————————— (Y/n)- she's not in any of my classes. I don't know any of her friends. I doubt she knows anyone that I could call a friend. So- no mutual friends, no obvious common interests, no classes together, no prior conversations or meeting... Dammit, what does this girl want from me? She's driving me insane and she's barely even doing anything! What's her deal...He'd now taken to peering at you throughout the school day. You'd tend to hang around the same places throughout the day so he could easily lead Ushijima past you and your friends to see the reaction he would get.Every time he walked past the large smile was present- but when he watched others prance by you didn't even bother to look at them.
