Wandering through the streets of Inzauma, Ei watched in adoration for the summer festival. Lanterns swayed gently, casting a warm glow on the filled pathways.

The air was filled with the mixed aroma of traditional street food and the distant sounds of music.

She paused near a vendor, watching the children run and mess around, their laughter harmonizing with those of the elderly, watching them near the restaurant. In that moment, Ei realized that the heart of Inazuma was once again, alive and well and was carried forward by the people who appreciate these festivals and cherish Inzauma's unchanging story.

"So? Whatcha think?"
Ei whipped her head around to be greeted by an all too familiar face. She lowered her gaze, continuing to look at the scenery beneath them.
It gave her deja vu.

"It is just as beautiful as it was on the first day."
The archon spoke, the tone of voice soft but low.
Miko looked at her 'friend' from the corner of her eyes, a smile tainting her rosy lips. Ei continued talking, letting the pink haired woman know exactly what she was thinking and feeling.

"The summer festival always excites me. It shows that the people do care about our nation and can enjoy the little things... it's great to see."
Ei whispers with a gentle smile along her face, making Yae chuckle at her rambling.

"Say, Ei ... if there was one thing about the festival you could change.. what would it be?"
The Kitsune daringly asks, putting a hand to her chin as she closes her eyes in thought.

"A change.." Ei ponders, unsure of what she would change. Tho, it didn't take long until she thought of something. Or more like someone.
Miko knew what was on the purple haired's mind, she knew Ei would do everything to relive that day, that moment. She took a look around. It was the same as the past years, but so different, too. Instead of her sisters, there were memorials.

Fans, kimonos, umbrellas, food.. all revolving around the three's signature flowers, Wisteria, sakura and japanese camellia.

She took a deep breath, sighed and closed her eyes. "I would.."
before she could finish her scentence, she felt a wave of nostalgia as a quick flash of thunder appeared in front of her eyes and they immideatly shot wide open. Miko turned her way and looked at her with a rather confused expression. "Ei?" She asks, looking at the woman next to her who seemed pretty weird.

"Miko.. didn't you just see that?"

"See what? My, my, Ei.. are you-"

"The flash. Did you not see it? I know it was there."

Ei's voice sounded determined as she looked into the direction the flash went to as she took cautious steps forward, Yae letting her do her thing as she put a hand to her chin and furrowed her brows. She didn't see or feel anything, but usually, Ei's intentions are never wrong.
While the kitsune watched her walk off, Ei was cautiously but confidently taking steps towards where the light headed, then she saw it again. A strange feeling bubbled up in her stomach, tho she couldn't pinpoint what it was, or what caused it.

As she followed the strange light, it was getting closer to a sakura tree, but it wasn't just any tree.
The light vanishes as soon as she stops a few feet in front of the tree. Ei furrowed her brows, her eyes narrow as she looked at it, a slight stinging in her heart.

This was their tree. They used to sit here, all day, everyday. And not once were they alone or a duo, it was always the three.

She felt weird. She felt some kind of omni-presence watching or surrounding her.
Summoning her polearm and clutching it in her right hand, she took a step forward, keeping her weapon behind her to show the 'enemy' she meant no harm for now. Suddenly, like magic, a strong gust of wind approached, making her cover her face with her forearm. As she looked back up, the colors of the pink leaves seemed a little brighter and they were flowing in the wind.
All of a sudden she heard a faint laugh. Ei tensed up and her eyebrows raise out of curiousity and shock.

Everything felt so.. nostalgic. Has this happened before? Didn't she have a dream about this?
The same place, the same laughs, the same-
"The same laughs?" Ei spoke out loudly, the tone of her voice changing into a confused one.

In the slight distance, in front of the huge sakura trees, stood two figures. Familiar figures.
One of them had their back turned to her, half of her covered by a beautiful paper umbrella.
The shorter one turned around, and waved happily.
Ei's world stopped. Her eyes filled with tears as she tried to get the right words out, but her quivering lips stopped her from doing so.

"Hey, You made it! Come on silly, we've been waiting for you." the younger girl called out. It was her. It was (Name).. Makoto was stood right next to her.
But how? how were they here? was she dreaming again? she needed answers, but seeing her sisters seemed too important right now.

She held back a tear and took another step forward. "(Nickname), Mako? Are you real?"
The younger girl giggled softly while the older one still had her back turned to Ei.

"Of course we're real!" she said, making Ei smile sadly "If you want us to be."

The wind picked up once more and the sakura petals flew wildly around them. Ei took a cautious step back, watching her sisters smile fade as she opened her mouth to speak one more time.
