M A G N U S. D E L A. C R O I X

This made no sense. This means I'll either be spending my birthday here or missing it.

It feels like it's been forever. Before we landed.

I could see him.

Andrey solance Luciano standing in front of their enormous mansion with several armed guards.

Clearly he had them there in case we tried something.

Liam and I got our bags. We gave each other a look, a look of regret and reluctance.

"It's time." My father said

"Don't be rude while you're here. They know they need us to win the attack, but don't make them want to try anything." My dad glared at me as if he already knew.

We stepped out the plane.

There he was.

"Welcome De La Croix. Pleasure having you." Andrey said.

"They pleasure is mine." My dad said back.

"I'd like to welcome you to our home right now. I know we've had some... troubles before, but I believe this could benefit us." Andrey said.

"This is my son, Magnus." My dad moved out the way to introduce me.

"This is Liam, he's like blood to us. He's my best friends son."

"Hello Boys. It's good to meet you both. The maids will lead you both to your rooms. My daughter Amira should be here soon to formally greet the both of you." Andrey said.

Her.

That girl at the restaurant. She'll be here.

I didn't really know what was happening. Liam just pulled my arm as the maid was leading us to our rooms.

They were pretty nice rooms, they were right next to each other, king size bed, with silk bed sheets, and a seat on the windowsill.

It also had a pretty big closet and it's own bathroom.

We thanked the maids and my dad and Andrey went to Andrey's office. Before that, Andrey told us that we were free to walk around anywhere in the mansion except for the master bedroom.

It made sense cause obviously that's his bedroom.

The guest rooms were placed upstairs. The upstairs was big and had a sitting area the overlooked the real living room. I sat there with Liam for a bit.

"I still can't believe we're really here. I never knew this would happen." Liam said.

"We can't do anything. We have to do this if we want to survive against the Americans." I said.

We just sat on the couches there.

"I'm going to walk around a bit more." I said as Liam went on his phone and nodded.

I noticed a door at the end of the hall. It couldn't be the master room because the master was on the other side of the upstairs and was guarded.

I knocked.

No one answered.

I waited.

No one.

I decided to open it.

I think this is her room. Amira's room. It had white walls with a simple golden chandelier on the ceiling. Her bed was around the same size as mine and had black silk bed sheets with white and baby pink pillows.

Her bed was neatly made. She had a walk-in closet and her own bathroom with a golden mirror.

She had a huge window, with a seat on the windowsill and books.

Is that.. fur?

I felt something in between my legs.

A all white cat with some grey stripes was running against my shin.

It startled me but it was cute. I kneeled down to pet it.

"Hmm. You're cute. I wonder what your name is." I said .

I looked on it and it didn't have a collar.

I tried looking at the windowsill.

There was a shelf, and on top of the books I saw a collar which read "Vincent."

I looked back to the cat and pet it once more.

I don't know how long I was there, but I heard foot steps coming my way.

I think it was Liam.

As they stepped, the person gasped and held up her gun.

I turned my head quick before holding up mine.

"M..Magnus? Wait, who let you in! Why are your petting my cat!" She yelled.

I didn't say anything. I just glared at her.

I was having a Alright time before she came and started being annoying.

I finally spoke.

"I'm here because of business. Not to deal with you. I might not know anything about you, but I do know that you're clearly an imbecile."

"You're the one in my room. I never told you that you could come in." She said, still pointing the gun to me.

She had a point but I was fed up.

"Well you never said I couldn't." I said back, feeling better.

"Answer my question fully. Why are you here?" She said, her finger now on the trigger.

"Clearly your father didn't tell you anything so I might as well." I started to explain."the Americans are planning an attack on the French and Italians. We, I mean, my father decided to form an alliance with yours, to make our mafias more powerful."

She lowered her gun and put it to her belt.

"And how long are you staying here?" She asked.

"Two weeks." I said, rolling me eyes while putting my gun to its belt.

"I guess this means you're my guest..?" She said hesitantly, then sighed." Could I get you anything? "

"Absolutely not. Just because our family's decided they want to form an alliance, doesn't mean I've decided. Don't ever offer anything to me. You look stupid doing it."
