Finding A New Talent

After lunch me, Luke, and Annabeth went to these stations to find out what I'm good at or to find a new talent.

Y/n: "So what should I try to do first".

                          
Luke: "Let's try archery".

Luke and I walk over to the archery station, where a girl in a wheelchair shoots the arrow while it's on fire and hits the target that's so far away. I was I shocked, she is good. Luke picked up a bow and an arrow and gave it to me. A little shaky I took it from him and pointed the bow towards the target.

Y/n: "I mean how hard can't it be". You said with a worried expression on your face.

Luke: "Here let me help you". He said smiling.

Luke came really close behind me and lifted up my arm to fix my posture. I turned my head and locked eyes with Luke's beautiful blue eyes. I started to blush a little.

Annabeth: "Get to the point already". Annabeth says annoyed.

Luke: "Here focus". He says turning me around with a slight blush on his face.

He gave me guidance towards the target.

Luke: "And just let it fly". He says with a calm voice.

I let the arrow go, but it only hit farther away from the bullseye.

Luke: "Ayyyy that was a good one". He says smiling and clapping.

Y/n: "Here let me try again without your guidance".

Luke: "Are you sure"? He asks.

Y/n: "I'm sure". I said with a confident tone.

Luke: "Okay but try not to kill anyone". He laughs thinking I can't do it.

I'll show him. I grab multiple arrows and shoot them one by one at each target, not even missing one. Proud of myself, I bowed at my good work, and then I turned around to see everyone's jaw drop to the floor including Luke and Annabeth. All I did was put the bow and arrows back where they belonged and walked off smirking. Leaving Luke impressed.

Next, it was time to try crafting a sword.

Y/n: "So do I just bang the sword with the hammer". I asked confused.

Luke and Annabeth: "Yeah basically". Luke and Annabeth said at the same time.

I grab the clamp in my left hand to hold down the sword and I have the hammer-looking tool in the other. I bang and bang the sword, but eventually, it breaks and flies off and lands into a pile of white sheets. It then catches on fire.

Y/n: "Oooops". I say putting my hands over my mouth.

Luke just grabs my shoulder and pulls me away.

Luke: "Let's see how well you are with swimming".

Me, Luke, and Annabeth all walked towards a huge lake, where there were other people swimming around in.

Y/n: "Are you trying to drown me?" I say looking at Luke very scared.

Y/n: "It looks very deep".

Luke: "It's just the color of the lake, it's not that deep.

Annabeth: "Well do you expect her to just jump in, with her camp clothes on". Annabeth says with a sassy tone.

Luke turns towards her and then looks at me.

Luke: "You have five minutes to get ready". Luke says, rolling his eyes.

Y/n: "I don't have a bathing suit, I didn't pack one".

Annabeth: "I have an extra one in my cabin". She says taking my hand and pulling me with her.

                              ⏳ Time skip ⌛️

I was looking around Annabeth's cabin or the cabin for Athena's children, just looking at pictures, when she came out of her closet holding a two-piece bathing suit. I took it from her and changed into it in the bathroom and then came out.

Y/n: "Is this the only bathing suit you have?". I asked turning to look in the mirror.

Annabeth: "It's the only one that will fit". Annabeth says, looking me up and down.

Annabeth: "And besides you look good in it".

Y/n: "I Guess". I said looking back in the mirror.

Annabeth: "Here you are going to need a towel too". She said as she tossed me a towel.

We walked out of the cabin and back to the lake, where Luke was waiting impatiently.

Luke: "Where were you guys, I said five minutes, you took 20". Luke said, pissed off.

Y/n: "We're girls of course we take a long time to change outfits". I said, smirking to piss him off even more.

Luke: "Whatever, come on, let's see if you can swim". And with that, he dives into the water and swims to the middle of the lake.

Luke: "Come on, swim to me". He yelled since I was far away.

Annabeth: "Good luck and I'll see you later". Annabeth said before leaving.

Y/n: "Thanks, see ya". I said waving at her.

Y/n: "Well here goes nothing". I said before diving into the water.

I swim as far as I can, holding my breath until I reach Luke. As soon as I got to him he said he has to time how long I can hold my breath underwater. I went underwater holding my breath to what seemed like about 2 to 3 minutes. When I couldn't hold it for much longer I swam back to the surface to see Luke gone.

Y/n: "Luke, LUKE!!". I yelled, turning around splashing.

Luke: "I'm right here, calm down". He said coming up to the surface and giving me a hug to calm down.

I hugged him back and then let him go softly.

Y/n: "You can't do that". I said calming down.

Y/n: "You scared me to death, or worse left me here to drown". You said while hitting him on the chest.

Luke: "I'm sorry, I didn't meant to scare you. He said with a sorry look on his face.

Luke: "And I could never leave someone as pretty as you to drown". He said smiling and making me blush.
