Secret Mission of Three Part 4

After I received the heartwarming hugs from Luke and Annabeth, my uncle walked into the kitchen where me, Luke, and Annabeth were.

Y/n: "Hey, Uncle Rick, were you the one that tried to kidnap us in my apartment?" I asked.

Uncle Rick: "Of course not! I would never do that." He said.

Uncle Rick: "I was the one that tried to save you from those people."

Y/n: "Then why would you inject me with something and throw me in the back of a car?" I asked, raising my voice a little.

Uncle Rick: "You were acting hysterically, so I asked my men to inject you with a sedative to calm you down, and besides Louis and Annabeth were already knocked out from the explosion." He said.

Luke: "My name is Luke. Not Louis." Luke said, trying to defend himself.

Uncle Rick: "Anyways I need to discuss something with you all." He said with a sad tone.

We all turned towards him to hear what he had to say.

Uncle Rick: "So I know you're wondering where your mother is." He said while looking over at me.

Uncle Rick: "The truth is I don't know exactly where she is right now."

Y/n: "What?" I asked.

Uncle Rick: "She came to me a couple of days ago, saying how she was going to look for something powerful, but that was the last time I heard from her." He said while looking down in his lap, fidgeting with his fingers.

Uncle Rick: "She was in a hurry to find something."

Y/n: "Have you tried to look for her?" I asked with tears in my eyes.

Y/n: "Did she give you a clue as to where she is, I mean she had to have said something. It's not like her to leave without telling anyone anything." I said all in one breath.

Uncle Rick: "I'm so sorry." He said while coming over to hug me.

Uncle Rick: "You can look through the stuff that she bought here before she left in a hurry." He said pointing upstairs.

After walking up the stairs to my mother's room whenever she would stay here, I opened the door and walked inside slowly. The bed was neatly spread up, with a nice light pink colored blanket, which was her favorite. I looked around through drawers and cabinets and found nothing. But what I noticed around the room was that nothing was dusty. We haven't been here in over two years. Maybe my uncle has a cleaner or something.

I checked everywhere in the room, or so I thought. I forgot to check under the bed. I bent down to grab a box that was under the bed and placed it on top of the bed. I opened it and found one small piece of paper and one big piece of paper at the bottom of the box. I picked up the papers and looked at them. The small piece of paper just had random letters on it and it formed one word while the other paper had the alphabet in Ancient Greek letters. I was so confused until a light bulb lit up in my head. Me and my mom used to do puzzles with each other just for fun. I started solving the puzzle until I figured out the word, it said basement. Then I looked back into the box and found my mom's chain.
