My smile fades. I remember all about what's happening. Then I think of the perfect name for her! I smile again. I open my mouth to say something as Rebecca takes the puppy from me. "Hey!" "I just want to pet her!" She replies. I hear yelling from upstairs. "NAME IT MARIO!!!" Kaden yells. "Uhh, it's a girl, and....." I got cut off by Amelia's crying. Mom and Dad go upstairs to calm her down. Kaden goes in his room, as Rebecca hands me the puppy, and goes to her room. She Shuts her door. I turn the puppy so that she's facing me. She stares up at me. "Welcome to our house, Hope." I whisper in her tiny ear. I smile.
