Half an hour later, I've tossed 5 more items into boxes. I hear another knock on the door...."Lacy, please come downstairs, sweetie. Your present won't wait forever." My mom kneels down beside my bed. She gives me her worried eyes, and I give her the death stare. She sighs, and slowly gets up. She walks to the door, and before she shuts the door, she turns around to say something. She opens her mouth, then sighs, and shuts it.
As soon as my mom leaves the room, the doorbell rings. I rush down, hoping its Robin...I really need a hug right now. I look out the window. I smile. I pull the door open, and throw my arms around Robin. She's crying. She hands me a card. She walks away, looking back every 5 seconds. I watch her leave, until she's out of sight. I close the door slowly. My parents are standing behind me. My moms holding a present. With holes. I bite my lip.
