Getting in the car was the hardest thing I've ever done in my life. But holding Hope made it a whole lot easier. The car started to move, and the moving truck followed. I stared at the house until it was out of sight. Then I saw Robin at the end of her driveway, crying and waving. I held up Hope to the window, so she could see. She had the same expression on her face that I did when I first saw Midgey. I waved, then turned my head to face the front.
Three hours later, we arrived at our new house. I opened the car door, and stepped out. I walked around the car, holding Hope, and turned to face the house.
