Chapter Three

The services showed up and put the fire out, an ambulance had gotten April into the van and ran their usual procedures.
The medic checked her skin but found nothing wrong with April.
"You said you were in the car at the time of the accident"? asked the medic.
"Yeah, I was with Tessa and Tommy, we were at Tommy's ball game and then on our way home we got hit from behind and the driver never stopped" cried April.
The media had shown up very quickly and wanted an interview with the survivor but by the time they found where April was she was gone.

A month later at the gift shop a woman  from the FBI showed up and asked April several questions about how she knew Tessa and Tommy, pulling out her phone she showed her footage of her on the day of the accident. It showed April on fire and others helping her, showed April tearing her clothes off and not being affected by the heat.
"Wow" said April.
"Indeed" replied Agent Page her blonde hair was half loose and half tight "can you explain how you suffered no burns"?
"The fire was on my clothes and not my skin" answered April "plus there were pedestrains helping put out the fire, I was very lucky they were there to help me".
"Mhm" she replied "let me rewind it to the beginning" said Agent Page then held it up to April, it showed April kicking the passenger door open and sending it across the road then climbing out of the car while on fire.
April just watched the video.
"Pretty impressive someone with your stature could kick that door like that, then climb out while on fire and not have any burns" said the Agent.
"I guess the hit from the truck damaged the doors hinges and me kicking it broke it completely" said April.
"Mhm" came the Agents reply "I was also very impressed by your school records April, you broke every record in the history of that school, even beating the fastest male runner who is now playing in the NFL as a wide receiver".
"I followed my teachers advice and applied myself" smiled April.
Agent Page stood their looking at April, then a feeling of unease came over April, something felt strange now, where was this feeling coming from thought April.
"Is there is anything else I can help you with"? asked April.
"Yes, your under arrest" she replied "for G.B.H against Daniel Murr" added Page then the Agent put handcuffs on April and led her to the police station.

In the police car April never spoke.

At the station April was put into a small room with one chair and one table. The room was very small.
Several minutes later the door opened and Daniel Murr appeared, he looked unusal, different.
"April" said Daniel softly, he seemed like he was sneaking into the room, when the door closed he turned quickly and pulled out a silver gun, April's hand grabbed Daniels wrist, bang, a shot went off, Daniels left arm came round Aprils neck, bang bang two more shots went off, Daniel pulled April against the door with him, he managed to put the gun to her head bang bang bang three shots went off into April's head then the room flooded with police officers tackling Daniel and April to the floor, there was commotion everywhere, Daniel was screaming and yelling profanity at everyone.

After everything had calmed down, Daniel Murr was convicted for the attempted murder of April Crumb.
Six used bullets were collected from the scene. Three were collected from the walls and the other Three were picked up from the floor.
