Secret Crush - Prelude

Tails grabbed two pieces of bread and popped it in the toaster. He brought out the Peanut butter and the strawberry flavored jelly, Sonic's favorite flavor!
He was gonna surprise Sonic with a PB&J sandwich, which is his 2nd favorite lunch food. Sonic was currently "doing someone a favor", so when Sonic got home, his lunch would already be made. I hope Sonic likes it! Tails thought. He always wanted to impress Sonic. Sonic was always doing so much for him, he wanted to show his gratitude.

Maybe if I cut it in half... I need a ruler for this. Tails thought, so he went to his room to find his ruler. Tails room was pretty messy, it had devices all over the place, robot parts and tools. Tails found the ruler, but next to a ruler was a picture of him and Sonic playing chess. Oop, this might have dropped. Tails thought, he picked up the picture, and reached under his bed for his book. He opened it up, inside were a bunch of pictures of him and Sonic together. On one of the spare slots, Tails slid the picture in it.

Tails slid the book back under the bed, I hope Sonic never finds that... I don't know what he would think. Tails sadly thought. He wasn't gay, but he did have little crush on Sonic, but he would NEVER tell Sonic that. It was more like, wanting to spend a lot of time with Sonic, and he just looked up to Sonic. Yet again, I'm just 8. He's 16, grrr I hate being young. Tails groaned while thinking.

"I'm home! Tails?!" Sonic shouted from the front door, Tails quickly rushed over. He beamed at seeing Sonic, he quickly grabbed his hand to give Sonic his sandwich.

"I made you a sandwich!" Tails cheered, Sonic gave Tails a pat and a little scratch on the head.

"Thanks buddy!" Sonic took a big chomp out of the sandwich, "mmmm... PB&J."

Sonic and Tails chatted for a while, played video games, and ran outside. Sonic had just doing another favor, he called Tails asking to come to some place. Tails quickly came over to see an abanded store, it was really dirty with a bunch of shelfs knocked down. Sonic was sitting on a bunch of books, looking down.

"Tails..." Sonic mumbled.

"Yeah?" Tails responded. Wondering why Sonic seemed so down.

"You know how I've been doing a lot of favors... I think it's time I told you the truth." Sonic sighed, looking straight into Tails eyes.

"Wh-what do you mean?" Tails asked.

"So, I got a partner..." Sonic began, but Tails intrupted.

"I thought I was your partner!" Tails exclaimed.

"Not like that, like a romantic partner." Tails felt his blood from his face drain.

"oh. Uhh... Who is it?" Tails asked, trying to sound normal. That's when someone from behind the counter walked up to Sonic, he kissed him right on the check. Sonic blushed a little. Tails just looked in shock.

"Shadow!" Sonic wispered, Shadow just gave him a smirk.

"Yeah, fox boy, I'm dating Sonic." Shadow stated, while sitting next to Sonic. Tails needed to get out of here.

"Well I support you, but my invention seems to be broken, gotta go!" Tails spoke fastly, then sprinted out, almost in tears. This means Sonic's going to be spending more time with Shadow. No... Shadow is evil, he tryed to kill Sonic, and now there dating? I can't let this happen, I wouldn't let this happen. I need to protect the one person I love most! Tails thought while coming up with plans already.
