Evermore: Gojo x reader

A Wedding

You and Gojo sat together as the adults talked in private. It was a new unspoken rule since you apparently like to speak when you're not supposed to (whatever that means). Gojo didn't say a word to you as he and his family arrived to your estate.

"We need to speak up about this stupid arranged marriage" he said, you couldn't read his emotions, he was wearing some sort of blackout sunglasses.

"Speak up?" You asked

"We both don't want this marriage, even though it's good for our clans there's no point if there's no love"

You sighed, "I tried to speak up about it and look where it lead us. We should at least try to get along for the sake of our families." The two of you being the next heads of your clans would be supposedly too much for you, your grandfather said maybe it was best to learn from Gojo so you would get better.

Suddenly the door opened to reveal Mr. Gojo and the rest of the adults behind him, "you two are to be married tomorrow" he said

"Tomorrow?!" You and Gojo yelled out in unison

Your grandpa looked away like he was ashamed, "unfortunately, Mr. Gojo wants to do it as soon as possible"

You looked between the older Gojo and your grandpa, "and what if I don't show up to the wedding?" You smirk "this will cause a huge scandal"

Mr Gojo laughs but his eyes narrows slightly, "you wouldn't dare. Remember what happened to the last women who tried something similar? She was disowned and removed from her heirship" you looked over at Gojo to see if he could come up with anything else but he seemed to be taken aback as well, "this wedding is beneficial for both of us. So I would think twice before you act upon your impulsiveness"

He was right, you were stuck with Gojo for now.

Mr and Mrs. Gojo began to walk out the room, "the next time I'll see you miss y/n, you'll be a Gojo."

The grey haired man sighed as he watched his granddaughter fry to fire bend outside, "you're doing it wrong"

The young girl flinched, it was already late so she thought he was already asleep.

"Power and fire  bending comes from the breath not the muscles" he said, "the breath becomes energy in the body. The energy extends past your limbs and becomes fire" he punched the air and fire appeared as he explained. "Now try again"

"That's enough grandpa, I've been repeating this all day, teach me the next steps I am more that ready" you argued

"No, you are impatient. You have yet to master your basics" he said as he sat down, "do it again"

"Grandpa" you whined

He sighed as he sipped on his tea, "I don't understand why you would want to rush into fire when you still haven't mastered water. This will do you no good"

You sat down next to him, "you're right. But I want to become stronger I want to show my mom that I at least know how to somewhat fire bend"

Your grandpa frowned at the mention of his daughter, "she'll be there at the wedding tomorrow"

"I know, Gran Gran told me" you looked away. "Do you think that if I marry Gojo she will finally be proud of me?" You asked

Your grandpa stayed silent, "I'm not sure but you're already making me proud" he said as he smiled down at you. You smiled back even though you were afraid about what all will happen tomorrow.

The day of the wedding arrives, and the two of you walk towards the alter. Not many people showed up, some of Gojo's friends and higher ups appeared.

In front of everyone the two of you say your vows. Neither of you mean a thing, and the other knows it. But soon, the ceremony arrives.

An older women shows up and you see her look around til she finally looks over at you and your newly husband.

When she comes up to you her eyes look as cold as ice. Just looking at her you can tell she's not pleased to see you. You don't need to say anything, she knows enough just by looking at your face that you too aren't impressed.

She speaks coldly at Gojo, "I expect you to take better care of my daughter from now on. And be a good husband" You and Gojo can tell the fake worried tone in her voice that she didn't care for you at all.

"You're the one who wanted this, I don't know why you're acting like you hate it, mother" you back away slowly so Gojo could be slightly in front of you.

She scowls as she looks over to you and you feel like a little kid again.
"I only did this to create a stronger link between our clans. It is necessary for both clans' safety. Just be grateful I'm not the one being shipped off like a puppet for a marriage."

"Something you suggested" you argued back but you can feel your legs shake

She glares, "Then you should've put up more of a fight. I expect to see an heir from this marriage. No one else is a suitable heir but my grandchild. So, I expect you to be pregnant soon." She said as she walked away

When she walks away Gojo looks over to you trying to keep his cool, "I've heard a lot about your mother"

"I won't be getting pregnant soon, we're still children! I can't believe she said that but still" you look over to see your mom talking to your grandpa, "I can't believe I'm still afraid of her" you whisper not loud enough for Gojo to hear.
