Monday morning, my first 'official' day working for Vox Tech or just Vox. I wasn't sure. I woke up earlier than normal for some reason and quickly decided to make a pot of coffee. I knew Alastor always liked a fresh cup first thing in the morning, he might be up already anyway.

Slowly slipping from my bed I stumble around the darkroom to get dressed in black leggings and a deep red blouse. Hopefully Alastor won't change my clothes this time. The man usually dresses me in reds, most likely to match him, and if I am matching him maybe he won't redress me again. I hated feeling like a doll.

Walking down the many halls of this hotel I made my way towards the kitchen to start the coffee. Only we were out. Moaning to myself I slump my shoulders and made my way to the front of the hotel. Husk was asleep at the bar snoring softly as I slipped by.

I made sure to leave as quietly as I could, I didn't want to wake the cat demon. Stretching my arms I was happy to see not a lot of demons awake at this time. Thankfully I didn't have to deal with anyone just yet. Hell's Brews was just in sight, it was five blocks away from the hotel. My memory flashed with Vox's orders for me to get his usual but I just shook my head. Maybe there was another shop closer to Vee tower.

I quickly grab three bags of coffee grounds, I don't want to have to make this trip again. I ended up being third in line, letting me look over the bakery items. The muffins looked amazing right now. I could totally go for a muffin. When it was my turn I tossed the bags on the counter and quickly ordered six muffins and a lemon scone. Maybe Alastor would like that one. Hopefully it wasn't too sweet for him.

With my bag of sweets and coffee I trekked back to the hotel unaware of the security camera following me. I just wanted to get back to the hotel to make my coffee.

My entire adventure took me half an hour and now the giant pentagram in the sky was higher up. Demons were walking the streets bustling to get to their jobs. I knew Charlie and Vaggie would still be asleep. Nifty I wasn't sure if she would be awake or not, sometimes I can hear her scuttling around the halls chasing after vermin, Husk was always a hit or miss in the morning. He was more of an afternoon/night owl. Angel would be up early to do yoga if he felt like it. He was always stretching his body to different positions to help with work. And Alastor...I wasn't sure if he ever slept. He was always full of energy.

Making my way to the kitchen I quickly started the coffee maker and organized the muffins nicely on a plate for everyone to grab. I left the lemon scone on a small plate for Alastor if he wanted it. If not I'm sure Charlie would like it. She loved all sorts of baked goods, she was so precious, just a big kid. She needed to be protected at all costs.

"Good Morning my dear," I practically jumped out of my skin hearing Alastor pop up out of nowhere. 'Damn he really is like a wendigo, think about him or say his name enough and he appears.'

"Morning," I gave a tired smile, pulling out coffee cups and pouring the liquid gold in both. "Cream and sugar?"

"Black is fine dear." nodding my head I extend the cup to him and get to work fixing mine up. Just some sugar and a splash of cream. It needed something to make up for the bitter taste. "Did you make these?" Alastor looked at the muffin's head cocked to the side, a curious grin on his face.

"No, I couldn't bake to save my life." I laughed, quickly hearing him let out a chuckle as well. "I picked them up this morning when I saw we were out of coffee...I grabbed you this if you're interested in it. You said you weren't a fan of sweet things so..." I hand him the small plate with the lemon scone on it. "I thought you might like it." Alastor took the plate from me and placed it on the counter. "Thank you very much, that was very sweet of you darling." He patted my head affectionately.
