The group gets to the village and finds the men along with Mead trying to pull out the sword using ropes while the knights laugh and enjoy the ale. Mead screams and the knights laugh even louder. "They look so desperate!" The tall one says. "What a bunch of morons!" The short one says and Meliodas walks by stealing their ale. "Anyone who doesn't appreciate good quality booze... doesn't deserve to drink it." He says walking to the sword. The ropes break and the men all fall and Meliodas walks past them drinking the ale. "That hit the spot." He says, placing the mug down beside Mead. "Sorry, you guys, I don't have any money for that drink." Meliodas grabs the handle of the sword. "How about this?" He asks and pulls out the sword with ease. Everyone stares at him in shock. "Impossible! Only a Holy Knight could pull that sword out! So how did he do that?" The tall knight asks. The ground shakes and they get thrown off the well by a gush of water.

The villagers cheer feeling the water rain on them and Meliodas walks up to the knights. "I think this is yours." He says and drops the sword in front of them. The knights grab the sword and run away screaming. "Hey, mister. That was amazing. Are you really--" Mead gets cut off. "Yep! I am the proprietor of a fine drinking establishment, it's true!" Meliodas replies. "That's not what I meant!" Mead says. "Mead~" Seraphina calls in a sing-song voice, walking over. "Ah, big sister!" Mead calls, happy to see her. "Big sister?" Seraphina looks confused but smiles. "There's something you need to do." She tells him, ruffling his hair and looking at the villagers. "Huh?" Mead looks back and also sees the villagers, who look guilty. "Look, Mead... we were wrong. Can you ever forgive us for treating you that way?" The chief asks. "But what right do I have to forgive you? It's not like I'm part of the village." Mead says, looking away. "Go on." Seraphina gives him a little push.

"Hey, what do you mean, go on? After all... I really don't belong here." Mead tells her. "Mead. Mead. Mead." The villagers chant and Mead closes his eyes to avoid crying. He then runs into the chief's arms crying. "You can lie to yourself all you want, but there's no way you'll be able to fool your own heart." Meliodas says with a smile that fades and Seraphina looks at him confused.

It was now nighttime and the entire village was in the Boar Hat celebrating. "To Meliodas of the Boar Hat!" A villager announces. "Cheers!" Another one says and they all clink mugs. "I, uh... I'm not really sure if I'm ready. I've never done anything like this before. My heart's pounding." Elizabeth shares and Seraphina's smile fades when she notes the innuendo in Elizabeth's comment. "I think I understand. It's your first time. Could you just say that again... but slower?" Meliodas tells Elizabeth. "Please don't." Seraphina chimes in. "Tell you what, just focus on your waitressing today. Don't worry about gathering any intel." Meliodas tells her. "Oh, and relax yourself. That's the most important thing. If you need any help call me." Seraphina says with her hands on Elizabeth's shoulders. "Thank you for that, Lady Seraphina." Elizabeth replies with a smile. "You're welcome." Seraphina ruffles the princess' hair. "Okay! I will be relaxed!" Elizabeth says and goes out to serve the customers but she trips and throws some ale on a customer.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry about that!" She apologizes and bows. "You... you didn't order this? Then who..." Elizabeth trails off after bringing the pie to the wrong table. "Uh, I'm over here!" A customer calls. "Okay!" Elizabeth turns to him but trips and Seraphina steps in and catches the pie and ale before it can fall on the customer. Elizabeth whimpers and tears form in her eyes. "Please forgive her for this she's never done this before." Seraphina bows at the customer after placing his order down in front of him. "It's no problem she's just learning." The customer smiles at Seraphina and the girl sighs turning to Elizabeth only to find her standing in a corner. "Ha! You haven't done any hard work a day in your life, have you?" Mead asks. "Uh, I..." Elizabeth stutters. "Oh, it's totally obvious! The difference between you and big sister is wild. You completely suck at this job!" Mead insults her. "Now that's enough! Don't start mouthing off again." Mead's aunt warns him.

"Didn't you learn your lesson today? Children who get too big for their britches get taken out and left in the Forest of White Dreams." She says. "Oh, no. Not there!" Mead pleads. "The Forest of White Dreams?" Seraphina asks, walking over. "It's a place so spooky even Holy Knights won't travel through it." Mead tells her and turns to his aunt. "Oh, Auntie! I promise I'll be good, I'll behave! Anything but that!" He pleads again. "And just why I should believe you?" Mead's aunt asks and Seraphina goes back to serving customers. "I promise! I swear!" Mead replies. "Don't try putting one over on me. I've got my eye on you." His aunt tells him. Elizabeth looks out the window with a frown and leaves. "Shouldn't you see what's up? We just had a princess run out of here." Hawk points out. "Really?" Seraphina looks around but doesn't spot Elizabeth. "I'll go talk to her." Seraphina says and leaves the tavern. "Mm, gotta go pee." Meliodas says and also leaves the tavern.

"Elizabeth?" Seraphina walks over to her and sits beside her. "Oh, Lady Seraphina and Sir Meliodas." Elizabeth looks at the girl beside her and the blonde walking over. "I'm sorry. I know I'm supposed to be working now. But when I saw Mead and the villagers, it brought up a lot of memories I have of my father." Elizabeth shares. "Really?" Seraphina asks. "I just hope he's okay." Elizabeth says. "Around here, maybe?" Meliodas mumbles looking at the sky. "I shouldn't do this. It's no time to mope around feeling homesick." Elizabeth continues speaking. "A little more to the left?" Meliodas asks, looking left. "But I've seen so many good people oppressed by the Holy Knights. I know that they're suffering. And with a princess like me, their chances don't seem too good." Elizabeth says. "Now that's a lie." Seraphina tells her. "Huh?" Elizabeth looks at her confused. "You found Meliodas, didn't you?" Seraphina points out.

"If you hadn't been trying everything you could to help your people and then stumbled into my place, then they'd have no chance at all." Meliodas agrees with Seraphina. "So, you're saying, there's something I'm meant to do?" Elizabeth asks. "Exactly." Meliodas replies and looks at the sky. "And right now, there's something I'm meant to do too." He says. "What's tha--" Seraphina gasps when she sees a spear, heading towards Meliodas. He moves out of the way, grabs the spear, and gets thrown down the hill. "Sir Meliodas, no!" Elizabeth shouts. Meliodas' left sleeve tears off and he gets thrown into houses. He jumps and turns around to stop and turn in the direction the spear came from. He leans back, spins, and throws the spear back to where it came from. The villagers went down to assess the damages done to the houses and Seraphina, Elizabeth, and Hawk ran to where Meliodas sat. "So glad we found you." Elizabeth says. "Sir Meliodas. Was that spear from the Holy Knight who left his sword in the ground?" She asks.

Meliodas stands up and opens and closes his bloodied hand. "Probably so. I think that's our cue to leave here as soon as we can." He replies. "You're hurt." Seraphina points out and grabs his hand to assess the damage. "It's fine." Meliodas replies. "What if Vanya village is attacked again?" Elizabeth asks. "I think they'd be in a lot more danger if we were to stay." Meliodas tells her, looking at Seraphina who still held his hand. "It'd be nice if we could find someplace to hide out." Hawk says. "Hold on a second..." Seraphina looks down in thought. "What is it?" Meliodas asks. "Mead's aunt mentioned something about the Forest of White Dreams and Mead said it was a place even Holy Knights won't enter." Seraphina shares. "Really? Sounds good to me." Hawk says. "That settles it then. Except that we're not gonna be hiding out. 'Cause we're gonna be doing exactly what we should." Meliodas says. "What do you mean by that?" Hawk asks. "You don't think..." Elizabeth trails.

"Yup. And I bet one of us is living there." Meliodas shares, and Elizabeth gasps. "Okay! Let's find another Sin!" Meliodas says. "Okay!" Seraphina agrees. The sun was beginning to rise, and the villagers watched as Mama Hawk left the village.
