After going through the door, Vito, Emit, and Mark found themselves in a room that had a ton of monitors around the wall in a massive circle for them to see. Vito closed the door behind him once the group was fully inside.
As the door was now closed, the group saw on the screen images of themselves shown from a camera pointing from the ceiling as if someone was filming them. Also in the room, was a black chair, meaning someone was in the room with them. "This must be where the Architect watches over everyone in this room," Vito said while seeing the monitors.
"You are correct, Vito," a voice said, as a hand was placed on one of the arm rests on the chair, while the group noticed him. Just then, the stranger in the chair revealed himself to be a man wearing a white suit, and tie, along with a black buttoned shirt. The man looked much older than the Key-Maker, and had a 1 ring on each finger as each revealed a changing number just like the Matrix itself. The old man also had a white beard, and matching short hair on his head.
"Gentleman, welcome to the Center of the Matrix," the man said, as he remained in the chair the group spotted them both in. "If you haven't figured it out yet, I'm the Architect. I have been in this room for ages, and I don't plan on leaving." "What's with all the monitors, though?" Mark asked. "Indeed, some people say TV rots your brain, and I think you'll kick the bucket with this many screens," Emit agreed. "As the Architect, I can spy on anyone, and anything in the entire world," Architect answered.
"So, the screens help you tell what is happening, and you can't just watch us?" Vito asked. "Well let's see if this answer your question," Architect answered. While snapping his fingers, the man in the chair made one screen stay the same, while the rest of the monitors changed images on the screen revealing a bunch of different locations in the world such as Mt. Everest, and the Egyptian desert that the hallway would take them to. "Wow, it's amazing to see so many of these screens in exactly one room," Emit commented as he saw one screen show some skyscrapers. "This proves it, boys," Vito explained. "This man is the Architect."
