As it turned out, almost everything. The storm was in full swing by the time the old engine clanked into the harbour. Workmen rushed around, calling and shouting orders at one another. The old and rusted cranes shook worryingly against the high-winds and litter from ungrateful passengers flew around like angry bees! Edward gulped.
"Oh dear..." He thought to himself. "What have I gotten myself into?"
Quickly, the harbour master wobbled over, struggling to keep herself upright in the harsh gale.
"I'll need you to clear all the fuel wagons from the far corner of the yard." She explained. "Shunt them into place before the tramp steamer gets here. Whatever you can't move, Skizz can put onto his morning train, when he brings the midnight goods."
Usually, the midnight goods left the harbour, and was brought up to the works. However, due to that night's arrangements, Skizz had to travel all the way to the works and back again. A long journey, and one Edward struggled to fathom.
"Yes Sandra! I'll do my best!" Edward smiled, although, he wasn't sure how much of this was actually possible. He slowly moved the sidings. Long lines of oil trucks all stood in a line, tittering and grumbling to each-other. Edward gulped again.
"Right." He said, easing off with the first few. "Easy does it..."

Almost on the other side of the island, Skizz was hauling his heavy train down the mainline. The trucks didn't have the heart to play tricks on such a kind hearted soul.
"We'll be early at this rate." His stoker squeaked. "Maybe we can even help Edward!"
"Oh, yes please!" Skizz smiled warmly. "Let's just hope we can keep this pace up!"
But they couldn't. Soon, the rain was pouring down so hard, you would assume they were in a torrent! Skizz and his crew could hardly see a thing!
"Caw!" Skizz huffed! "This rain is getting heavier by the second!"
"We should stop at the next station." His driver reasoned. "It's dangerous to travel in these conditions. Even for you."
"But what about Edward!?" Skizz cried! "We can't just leave him on his own!"
"We don't have much of a choice." Bubbles shivered. And she was right, they reached Edward's station to find a soaking wet station master huddled under the platform. Waving a red flag.
"Bother!" Skizz huffed, bringing his train to a stop. "What's the matter now!?"
"Visibility is too low to safely carry on." Mina explained. "You'll have to wait here for a while."
As much as Skizz wanted to resist, he knew he had little choice.

The storm wasn't just affecting Skizz, it raged across the whole island, tearing roofs and sheds apart! But the harbour was the worst of all! Edward struggled to keep the harbour under control! And, to his dismay, one by one, the cranes stopped working!
"This one's down too!" Shouted one of the workmen! "Totally seized up!"
"I CAN'T DO THIS ALONE!" Edward cried! For once in his long working life, Edward was overworked, he was overwhelmed, but worst of all, Edward was extremely frightened. "OH COME ON SKIZZ!? WHERE ARE YOU!?"
"He must be held up somewhere!" His driver replied. "Not his...."
Kate trailed off, her face filled with horror.
"Oh shit!" She cried! "The tramp steamers here!"
And she was right, battling against the harsh storm was the cargo ship! Waves crashing against it as he came closer and closer to the harbour! Edward eyed the ship for a moment, before muttering a quiet.
"That's coming in awfully fast." Suddenly, there was a loud whistle! To Edward's relief, Skizz came puffing in!
"Sorry I'm late!" He cried! "The storm really held me up!"
Edward looked to Skizz, and then back to the tramp steamer. It came in fast... Too fast!
"What do you need me to-?" Skizz's pleas were interrupted.
"WAIT!" Shouted Edward in alarm. "DON'T COME ANY CLOSER!"
At last, the workmen saw the oncoming danger!
"JESUS CHRIST!" The harbour master shouted! "GET BACK!"
All the workmen sprinted away from their stations, and right towards the horrified engines!
"THERE'S STILL A TRAIN OF PETROL WAGONS!" Edward cried! But they had no time! The tramp steamer barreled into the harbour, only letting off one long and loud whistle! Before there was a sickening, groaning and horrifying CRASH! The old concrete was torn apart and tossed aside like it was only dust! The fuel tankers came closer and closer!
"HIT THE DECK!" Mavis cried! Quickly, the workmen piled into Edward and Skizz's trucks! As the two engines raced out of the harbour! The sounds of sirens and explosions filling the stormy night air! Edward shut his eyes, as the harbour was ripped apart in an instant!
