The two Shinobi known as sarada Uchiha and boruto uzamaki were out on the town one day when they tried to cross through an alley way and were caught in a Temporal rift.
And the time rift wiped the majority of their memories as well. They knew their first names and ages but not their families or where they came from or how the got to where they are.
They woke up in front of an old rundown looking settlement unable to do any of their standard Naruto techniques (they don't remember em either) and they felt a sense destiny there. So they went in and found themselves welcomed by the residents of the place. They were prophecies about them arriving there and being crowned the king and queen of the plague gears.
The two former Shinobi quickly accepted the roles and grew the settlement to a global superpower in this new world for the next 7 years. Finding the secret to eternal life while their at it.
