Time flew by as the crew and I were on our way to Hogwarts. As we grew closer my emotions grew stronger; my nerves were shot, but I was so excited to get there. I was about to meet new people who would stay with me for a lifetime. I have never felt so passionate about something like this in my eleven years of living.

Not too far behind our arrival, we bought sweets from the kind woman at the trolley. The chocolate frogs were my favorite seeing that their warm rich taste made my mouth water. The cards were always a joy to collect; I have at least four Albus Dumbledore cards!

Soon after, the Hogwarts Express let out a huge roar as we pulled into its port. You heard gasps from every direction when you stepped off the train. A large man who seemed to be a giant gave aa very warm welcome as he motioned us towards the boats. Many boats with no more than four students crossed the lake, giving us a beautiful view of the castle. I've read so much about this school and its surroundings, and to finally be here was surreal.

We all began to pile in dozens by dozens as the "oohs" and "ahs" bounced around the entrance to the castle. My brother was also impressed but him and Blaise claimed not to be; they thought they were too cool to be as stunned as every first year was.

"how can you enjoy a place like this?" Draco murmured.

"Because Mr. Malfoy, this is were you will be doing your studying for the years to come. Being inside of a castle doesn't impress you?" an older, skinnier woman called out.

"Well, while my brother is being 'too cool' I think this is fantastic!" I replied for my brother.

"Well, Miss. Malfoy, I am happy you think so."

I questioned who this woman was and how she knew my name, but after five minutes I wasn't so worried anymore. I was home now and nothing could stop me from having a great time.

"Welcome to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I am Professor McGonagall and I am very pleased to see so many of you here today. Our welcoming banquet will start momentarily where you will finally begin your journey here in Hogwarts. The most important thing you will hold with you today is the sorting ceremony where you will receive the house that you belong to. When I call your name when we enter, you will sit on the stool and be sorted into your house" the old woman said excitedly, " the four houses are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Slytherin, and Ravenclaw. Your house will help you trough everything, so stay loyal. Move along now and let's begin."

Finally, the time is here. I can predict where I would be sorted because I held a name well known in the Slytherin common room. I grew intrigued to see where all the other first years would go. There was a boy who looked like a lost Pygmy Puff, but I didn't know him at the time; Opposites weren't meant to attract.
