The next day, Camille woke up around 11 a.m., which was very late for her, but it's hardly surprising considering how long and hard the previous day had been.
After bringing herself to life in the bathroom, she went to the kitchen to eat something. Once she got there, she saw three plates on the table and Theo standing next to the stove.
"Oh, you're up. I made breakfast." He smiled, then took a frying pan and put scrambled eggs on each plate. There were also cheese toasts on the plates.
Camille sat at the table, still digesting yesterday's events and the first dinner in a long time.
"I guess your friend is still sleeping." He said, sitting down at the table.
"Probably." She replied, taking a fork in her hand. "If I woke up at 11, we'll have to wait a long time for her." She laughed and started eating.
"I might have a clue who's behind your memory loss." The man replied suddenly. "But I'm not 100% sure, so we'll have to check it."
"Who?" The girl asked with interest.
"LF Corporation. I don't expect you to be familiar with this."
"Well, I'm not..." She sighed. "So what do we do now?"
"Nothing. We have to approach it safely and slowly... I also need to think about my plan and refine it more, because for now these are just guesses and suspicions." He said, sipping water from a glass.
"So we'll have to go there?" She asked, still curious.
"We?" He replied with surprise. "No. Me alone? Yes. Your presence near any of the corporations would be too risky." He explained, and Camille continued eating.
Meanwhile, Vivienne finally opened her eyes. She rolled over to grab her phone.
"12:08?" She started in a sleepy voice. "Then I'm going back to sleep." She muttered, and then turned over and covered her head with the blanket.
Two hours later Vivienne appeared half asleep in the kitchen.
"Have you had enough sleep?" Her friend asked.
"I think so." She replied, yawning. "Where's the black fossa?" She looked around the room.
"He left just now." Camille replied, looking at the stairs. She thought about what Theo was doing now, feeling a strange feeling, as if she was worried. "He told me that he had suspicions about the people behind our memory problems, so he went to check it out." She explained. "Oh!" She looked at the plate. "Theo made breakfast... but it's probably a bit cold now."
"It's okay..." Vivienne started. "I'm not hungry anyway." She replied, sitting down at the table and putting her head on it.
"Hey..." Camille started hesitantly.
"What?" The other girl replied.
"I'm wondering if I should also go where Theo went... to investigate all of this."
"Do you know where he went?" Vivienne asked.
"No... but we can go to his room and maybe find something?"
"I doubt we'll find anything, but I'll be happy to browse through his things." She stood up with a smile.
The girls went together to the man's room. They opened the door, looked around and... didn't find a single thing. The room looked as if no one was there yet.
"Hmm... I guess we won't find out anything after all." Camille said.
"Do you see it now? He's so suspicious that he didn't even leave anything behind so that we wouldn't find out anything about him." Vivienne replied.
