Chapter XIX

More and more sounds could be heard. They finally got closer to the source of these voices. This led them to the door number 258. It is not known what room was hidden behind it, or what person was there.

They stood like that for a while and listened to some conversation, but they heard nothing except knocking. When standing at the door turned out to be fruitless, they finally decided to go inside. Theo placed his hand on the doorknob when suddenly there was the sound of footsteps, many people at once. Before they knew it, they were surrounded on all sides.
There were about six people standing on their left and about the same number on their right. They didn't expect this at all. Camille and Theo stood still. Vivi hadn't read the plan, so she counted on her friends being prepared for it. Unfortunately, that wasn't quite the case. They took into account that they might be caught, but they were not to be surrounded by a group of over ten people.

"Surrender." One of the employees suddenly said, raising a gun and pointing it at them.

Nobody moved. It seemed that each of them was thinking about how to get out of this situation.

"You're surrounded. Drop your weapons and get down on the floor." Added another enemy.

Camille and Theo still stood firmly. The blonde girl decided to kneel on the floor and then wonder what to do next. However, she kept her knife with her. It wasn't visible anyway, so no one would accuse her of having any weapon.

"You guys, do as your friend and get on the floor." He spoke again, this time reloading the gun.

"Where is your boss?" Theo asked firmly, making one of the hostile men laugh.

"You think I'll just tell you?" He replied irritably. "Now get down on the ground or I'll shoot."

Camille noticed that the attention of the man who seemed to be the most important in the group was entirely on black fossa. She thought she could somehow take advantage of it. She just had to decide what exactly to do. Unfortunately, only one thing came to her mind. It was quite risky because the rest of the group could attack, but according to the girl, they seemed to be just pawns obeying the man's every order. She assumed they would probably do nothing.

Slowly and silently, she began to draw her gun. She didn't have time to aim precisely at the enemy, because she had to do it with a quick and efficient movement. She took a deep breath and, as quickly as she could, she aimed and shot. The brunette's skills were good enough and she managed to shoot the leg and probably one of the arteries.

Everyone was confused and didn't know what to do with themselves. They didn't expect this in the slightest. The man who was shot fell on his back, holding the wound on his leg.

Theo was impressed and looked at Cam with admiration. Vivienne was still kneeling on the ground, looking down. Apparently she hasn't figured out what exactly happened yet.

"Quick, we have to go!" Camille shouted, rushing the rest until no one from LF Corporation looked like they were going to do anything to them. Vivi and Theo quickly gathered themselves and started running forward.

"What are you doing...?!" The man bleeding out on the floor began in an angry tone, still holding his wound to stop the bleeding. "Run after them!" He added firmly, and the rest of the workers finally recovered and started moving.

"Where are we running?" The blonde girl asked out of breath.

"To the stairs." Replied the man. "We have to get out of here."

"What about Claude? We were supposed to kill him." She asked.

"Now worry about your life." The brunette replied and everyone finally got to the stairs and started running down them as fast as they could.
