Not but 20 minutes later, Lisa's intrusive thoughts brought her to the handle of the door where she had intended on visiting James, without Cassius watching and listening to their every movement. As she crept out of her room she noticed a light glowing down stairs. She began to follow it when she heard voices.
She continued walking to the stairs when a board creaked. The voices stopped and Lisa's heart leapt into her throat. Footsteps began to approach and she held her breath backing away slowly. She entered her room then dove towards her bed. She sat huddled in her room for hours, yet no one came to investigate, so eventually her eyelids betrayed her and she began to doze.

Crimson rays shone on the dark roast that spun in circles as Lisa added the sweet, porcelain creamer to her coffee. Cassius sat beside her, and she couldn't help but notice he had large plum bags under his eyes and thought back to the voices from the previous night.
James entered the room sauntering over before taking the seat on her other side.
"Mornin," he said, reaching for the crumpets that sat on the white, floral platter.
"Mornin," Cassius replied, "Gigit has planned a series of events and bonding activities for the day, be ready by 9:25 and we'll meet her by the beach for a beginning game."
Lisa tried to argue but was cut off by Cassius abruptly standing up to go get ready. Lisa waited until
James finished his breakfast and retreated to his room before heading to her room upstairs to change. She pulled open the door to her wardrobe and looked observantly as though the perfect outfit would flow out and dress her, however it did not, so she flicked through the hangers until she found a small imperial green dress that would allow movement and would bring out the copper tones in her strawberry blonde hair. As she slid the silky cloth over her warm ivory skin she couldn't help but think of James' wavy hair and how the balmy beach sun would shine off of it. She threw on a small pair of tight fitting shorts that would remain hidden in the bustle of her small dress: then braided her hair in a rope twist down the left side of her face. Lisa laughed lightly to herself as the irony of the rope reminded her of her promise to end the murderous rampage with a noose and as far as she had gotten was a roommate and a chaperone. Still as she walked down the sunlit stairs her mind wandered thinking about clues she'd missed or a body unfound. "Everyone by the car in 5 minutes!" Cassius yelled through the doorway. She ran to the boot room, where she saw James; he looked up from his attempts at tying his boots and for a swift moment she thought she saw a smile tug at the corner of lips, but he turned his face back to his shoes before bustling out the door. Lisa laced up her heeled sandals before meeting them at the car.
