Ch. 7

Z's mom called me and said that she didn't need me to watch Gia anymore. So now I'm hanging out with the group at Kayla's dad's house.

"So what's up with you and my cousin?" Toni asks me in a teasing tone

"No, wassup wit you and Jason?" Jaden asks me

"Nah what's up with you and me." Jace says with a smirk while looking at me.

I literally just walked in the house.

"Damn let the girl breathe." Leanne says with a laugh.

"Right. All up her ass." Destiny says and laughs too.

"Nah the shit interesting. She ain't never been after no man and now these nigga's coming up to me askin fo her number and shit." Tay says and laughs.

"My girl finna get cracked." Destiny says with a giggle.

"Been cracked." Braxton says and I turn my head to him so fast.

"Whattttt." Kayla says while looking at me.

I can see Jace smirking at me.

"I've never confirmed anything. Anyways what are we doing today?" I ask trying to change the subject.

"Just chillin' I'm surprised you actually came." Kayla says with a shrug.

Normally I wouldn't.

"I didn't have anything to do." I says and shrug.

"Nah her ass like us. Thought we was too loud and mean but now she wanna be our friend." Trevon says and laughs at me.

He's not wrong.

"Yeah I guess. The more I hung out with y'all this week I realized that I've been kinda closed off." I say shyly.

"Aww we finna make yo lil ass just like us." Jaden says and punches my cheeks and i quickly slap his hand away and laugh.

"Is Rachel coming?" Trevon asks Kayla.

I hope not.

"Yeah she just texted me." Kayla says while looking at her phone.

Ughhhhh.

"Why you making that face Minnie?" Tay asks me with a chuckle.

"What face?" I ask him, immediately fixing my face.

"You looked upset when Kayla said she was coming?" Braxton says.

"I don't think she likes me." I say with a shrug.

"She don't." Toni says and bursts out laughing.

"Why not? I never did anything to her?" I ask them.

"She like Z but he was always around you." Destiny tells me.

Ohhhhh.

"I didn't have anything to do with him not liking her." I say.

"Why he ain't get with her then?" Jaden asks me, he knows that I know why.

Z brought her up to me in conversation a couple times and I know exactly why. I just didn't know that she actually liked him.

"He don't like white girls." I say and shrug.

Shoot he barely likes light skin girls.

"Why not?" Jace asks me.

"He likes dark skin girls. That's his type." I say and shrug.

"Ohhhh well tell Rachel that so she can move on." Destiny says to me.

"I'd prefer not to talk to her." I state firmly.
