[3rd POV]
A happy home. Y/n and Husker were both happily married, a happy life together. They weren't perfect with Husk's drinking and gambling, and Y/n with her anger and jealousy issues, but they completed each other.Husk had scammed a ton of people out of their money while gambling, using the money to buy Y/n everything she wanted, but eventually all good things came to an end once Husk decided to go to war. He was already skilled and had the training from his High school years, so what could go wrong? Y/n was in tears the day Husker left, constantly sending him letters while he was gone, keeping herself together while he was away. She found herself comforted in his clothes, reading the letters he sent, and being around his things.
A few months ago, Husk sent Y/n a letter that they would be going home in a few months and that when he got back, they would spend the whole day together. She was ecstatic. Her husband would be back, and they'd finally be together again. She got herself dressed and met up with the other wives, waiting for their husbands as the busses came into view.
Y/n grew impatient as she saw many men come back to their wives of girlfriends and she didn't see Husk anywhere, then her heart dropped. In the distance, she saw many men come back with a flag folded and Husk's dog tag, along with a letter that he wrote for her on the top of it as they explained the news. "We're sorry Mrs. L/n. He was a great soldier." Those words caused Y/n to break down crying, some of her friends around with their husbands coming to comfort her as she cried over her soulmate. She just couldn't believe he was gone.
"Serves him right. Well, I'm just glad MY husband made it back, but I don't expect much from Husker. He's nothing but a sorry excuse of a man anyway" a female laughed, specifically Husk's ex. She never fully got over him and hated him for leaving her. Y/n wasn't having any of it. She got up, tackling the female down and began bashing her head in the ground, letting out the angry and left form the comments the woman made previously, until she was pulled off of her by her best friend's husband who took her thrashing body back to her friend. "Hey Y/n, don't let her get to you, she's too stupid to know what she's talking about. She means nothing okay? Come on let's go."
Months later it seemed like Y/n changed. She no longer took any disrespect from anyone who bad mouthed her late husband and if they did, they have hell to pay. She wasn't charged by the female she attacked those months ago because her husband convinced her not to. At least she wouldn't have to deal with it at all anymore since they're both dead.
A few years later
The cat demon sat at his bar; looking at the ring on his finger as he drowned out his sorrows in cheap booze. Placing his head down on the counter with a sigh. "Heya pretty kitty, why you so down? You want me to help you feel better?~" Angel came over and leaned across the bar with a flirtatious smile on his face. "Shut the hell up. I'm not in the mood Angel." Husk grumbled as he dropped the bottle on the counter while a now concerned Charlie, Nifty, and Alastor came over to see what was wrong.
"Well, if you want, you could talk about it.." Charlie offered as she placed her hand on his shoulder. This caused the demon to sigh as he tapped his claws on the table before pulling off his ring from his finger. "This..is my wedding ring, I was married before I died..and it's our anniversary today..." Husk spoke sadly as he places the ring back on, his ears falling flat on his head.
"I didn't know you were married- love to hear more about her!" Charlie cut Angel off with an excited grin. "What- but- fine. Y/n was amazing..she was always there for me even when I was gambling, never judged me once. She had her own issues to when it came to jealousy but she had reasons. She was also afraid of moths, always saying that they didn't have an elegant look like butterflies." He chuckled as he placed down his bottle once again.
We were happy before I told her I was going off to war, I knew there was a chance I'd die but I went anyway. I didn't stop gambling, we talked regularly every chance we got, almost felt like home, you know?" He sighed "but I died and ended up here. I'll never get to see her again, she's guaranteed to go to Heaven, she never hurt a fly..I would know.." He held his head in his hands as he sighed once again.
"Well, idiot want could see if I could talk to heaven- I don't want you to keep moping around here on your anniversary.." Charlie spoke sadly, no one paying any mind to the tall shadow that slipped through the front door. "Thank you Charlie, but after everything we've been through with them, I doubt they want to talk to us right now." He sighed, a small smile on his face.
Later that evening, Husk was cleaning the bar while Angel kept him company, chatting about Lucifer knows what, then a knock came from the door, Alastor going to open the door with his grin widening on his face. "Come on in dear" he spoke while letting the female Moth demon in. "Alastor? Who's that?" Charlie spoke, causing Husk's head to turn towards the door with his undead heart skipping a beat. "Y/n.."
"You missed me Husky? Or should I start calling you kitty now?" She teased as she walked over, her wings sprouting up as she picked up the pace and ran towards the man she loved, holding him close and showering his face with kisses. "I missed you so much-" Husk was unresponsive as he froze in shock. "I- how- what did you do to end up here baby?" He asked while looking her over, placing a kiss on her hand that had her ring on it. "I know, I'm sorry but I couldn't let them talk about you like that...so I uh...killed them...everyone that spoke bad about you after you died."
Husk was shocked, but impressed as he pulled his wife into a kiss, a smile edging his face as he finally felt complete, though he couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. After their hug, Charlie went to go introduce herself to Y/n before she we stopped by Vaggie who noticed the tension in the air changed near the bartender.
"So, you must be the spider demon that I heard was all up on my husband." Y/n smiled sickly at Angel who took a few steps back with a nervous smile on his face. "Hey toots- calm down, I didn't know he was married." He chuckled nervously as he tried to leave the tense atmosphere. "Y/n, baby please calm dow- ow!" Husk winced in pain while Y/n grabbed his ear like she used to when he was in trouble. "You wanna tell me why I'm hearing about you dancing around downtown Hell with him, hmm?"
Alastor chuckled to himself, watching his friend try to explain his self, knowing he wouldn't even be in trouble if he didn't say anything, but as long as they were reunited, he didn't care, he would be here for all the entertainment. He saw Husk being dragged cup to his room with Y/n still ranting angrily as he cackled "Best of luck Husker!"
